Let me correct myself, under the Bretton Wood Agreement (end of World War II), the U.S. dollar was pegged to the value of gold ($32 an ounce). That ended on August 15, 1971. And the value of gold is now over $1,000 which should say something about the value of the dollar today!

Actually House Joint Resolution 192 of June 5, 1933 suspended the gold standard. No debts can legally be paid until currency is once again backed by gold. A Debt cannot be paid with a Debt.

I personally would want it to be peaceful and getting senators and other government officials who care about this country. But, I believe that the only "change" we will get is if there is a civil war. It's happened before, and it can happen again. I never said anything in 6 months.
