hey Im considering seeing Dr. Kim for a revision rhinoplasty and will prob need grafting like you had..Wantd to make sure he is legit..your video seems to prove soo..
Thanks for the upload I had this op yesterday, my nose looked very similar to yours hopefully i will have similar results, can't wait to be able to breath properly!
dude were you able to breath threw your nose at all before surgery did at leaast one nostril work or both pretty bad? i have trouble eating also did you also have this problem
Great video! Thanks for sharing that experience. That's so funny, you all are members of the gym I worked at for two and a half years; No wonder we didn't see you for a while.
wow..im so happy for you. Your reaction was priceless when you could finally breathe after the op. Great video as well to show people its a worthwhile op to have if they are suffering like you did :)
I'm guessing it was just swelling, but it seemed like your nose got wider in the after pic? Do you have a recent pic you can post to get a good idea of the "final result"
Were you advised to use nasal rinses? My surgeon says not to, yet many others do. I had the same operation a week ago on Sept 7 and get my splint off in 2 days time. I cannot wait!!
wow so succesful operation, get feel soon. I had last week this operation, but just septoplasty, pulling the splints like pulling the teeth. And my nose bleeded after that. and my doctor stopped the bleeding by an apparatus immediately.
@kcheinze im having it on the 22 of july and i had no problems with my insurance, go to a doctor and hell will tell u if u need the surgery or not they wont cover it if u only want to change the way your nose looks. if u can breath normaly they wont cover it, i cant im just like the guy in the vid i can only breath trough one nostril and my nose is kinda crooked like his so they had to cover my surgery. they coverd it 80% but im fine with that, wish u luck, its realy anoying having a crokd nose.
I had a septoplasty last week, Still have splint in my nose. I have an appointment tomorrow for splints removel. I was wondering if you still have sleep apnea and you re still snoring? Hopfully, I will not have the same problem after my surgery, otherwise I will put the CPAP every night before going to bed.
i have the same problem my nose isnt exactly like yous but its bent the same way and i am suppose to have this done in few weeks. i wanted to ask u did it hurt?? and did u pay for it or were u covered by insurance? my insurance is covering me because i cant breeth through my nose at all
hello, I had this done, came back from hospital just yesterday, very uncomfortable, swelled up aswell feeling better each day, mine nose was the same as yours before, maybe worse, how you getting on now?
Thanks for this. I just want cosmetic, but this and the other video where the women had cancer in the nose really help me narrow down doctors. I'm still undecided though. Oh, you have nice eyes and glad your breathing again. Take care.
@fauxreal21 Hi, how's it going. Great job done there. Is there any chance I could email you to ask you some things about your experience? I'm a 25 yo male from Ireland considering making the trip. If you dont wanna give your mail out, mine is mcallist@tcd.ie Thanks No prob if you cant but any help would be greatly appreciated.
I had the same procedure (septorhinoplasty) here in the UK, for free under the National Health Service. I didn't have cartilage grafted from anywhere else, nor did I have the internal splints, just the metal split over my nose and internal stitching. I don't understand why, but it never hurt me one bit, and after the operation I was able to decline all painkillers. If you need this operation, I couldn't recommend it more. My only side effects: Itching splint/dressing, and a little bleeding.
Very nicely done video. I had a septoplasty back in January 09. Feeling better now (except for a current sinus infection which I caught). The drainage is much better.
I just had the surgery yeasterday, was in agony with that fucking pack up my nose all evening/night. Painkillers were doing nothing. When they took the packs out it hurt like a bitch, but was relieving. As I sit here I got an outside splint which makes me look like a killer on my nose.
i am supposed to be getting one of those in like three weeks and the only thing i want to know is how bad does it hurt???

I had the same about 5 days ago. I look like a zombie and my eyes became red and the whole area around my eyes is very swollen.
The good thing is, that I have no pain at all.

Great Results!! I had the same about a week ago ,when did your sense of smell fully came back?
detagirl 2 years ago
Smell came back the day all the bandages were off. I think my sense of smell actually improved, but maybe that was just a result of better airflow.

what hurts more, having the splints, or the packing removed?
leumasnehpets 3 years ago
packaging doesnt hurt its just really uncomfortable and those stitches kind of hurt but its more of an irritation
MarkWilliams212 3 years ago
does the throat hurt from intubation?

no not really.
MarkWilliams212 2 years ago
A bit scratchy but no pain. Definitely not something to worry about. It's the "being under" part that makes people nervous, but I didn't mind.
