@RiikChan Eh... Didn't really like the generations fight. The 3D area was far too large so you just end up spamming the quickstep. The 2D area was really repetitive. Also, as you said, the walljump section isn't very well done. I prefer this fight to be honest, this was probably the highlight of the werehog in Sonic Unleashed.

@glem3 you only have to use the quick step to get rings...and the whole werehog concept was dreadful...sonic doesnt need gimmicks its about movement...as far as the 2D part i mean what else could you ask for ina boss fight? it wasnt the best fight but it was enjoyable for me...and the Hard Mode version was fun to play as well

I agree. The generations version was actually my least favorite boss in the entire game.

But this boss? It's probably the most memorable boss in a 3D sonic game ive fought since Biolizard.

This was definitely a Werehog battle, they probably should have taken another boss from Unleashed for Generations. It captured almost none of the epicness that this battle had, except for the awesome music.

This is my favorite boss. But when I got past the first skydive and saw eggman charging that cannon with all those special effects, my reaction, "Oh snap! What do i do?" But then it was just a little ball that made a wave that you could easily jump over. I would have made it where eggman blew up the stalactite and you had to jump around on the pieces while he tries to slice you with his drill, cutting up the pieces while he was at it. Eventually, you would find another random platform to land on

@MovieMan1065 Oh, good. I'm glad. I Hope SEGA stays true to their history instead of recreating it. I enjoyed the Werehog as well. It was a good idea. The enemies needed better diversity or at least better placing (in the normal story levels, there's only one area of one level where 2 snake-like enemies that come from the ground appear. More appear in DLC, but not the game itself besides one battle which is a waste), but the idea itself was well-executed for the most part in my opinion.

@AvassaladoresVEVO I don't think so because I saw Modern Sonic against the Death Egg Mech from Sonic 2 in the Bosses trailer so maybe it's a mix sometimes. If what you said was true. Classic Sonic would only face 2 bosses while Modern gets 4 (excluding the Time Eater so I think it will be a mix.

Also the reason they took the Werehog out of the Egg Dragoon is because people HATED the Werehog. They have 2 wisps in Generations for Planet Wisp but I don't think people hated them.

The night stages were unique and even though they weren't fast it kinda had that Sonic Adventure feeling when going through them but this battle is what makes the biggest difference. Power, skill, movement....Sonic Unleashed will forever in my opinion be the greatest Sonic game ever.

I beat this on my first try (thanks to your video, I was able to pick out the surprises) and I got an S Rank! Awesome! (I got the S rank because I ignored the robots Eggman put on the platform and just went right for the green orb. Constantly attacking the orb also somewhat keeps you protected from the robots, made me finish faster)

Y'know, if they could've fit the storyline that way, I would've preferred the Egg Dragoon as the final final boss fight over Perfect Dark Gaia. Sure, Perfect Dark Gaia has (IMO) the best song in the game, but in both versions of the fight (I mean ps2 and ps3 there), the gameplay was lacking sooooo much. This was a waaay better fight, and also IMO, the music makes it a far better battle than any of the others.
