Shenmue I/II were great games, but they were commercial failures which is why the series was never complete (and attempting to make an MMO out of it was such a terrible idea which strengthened the failure). Yu Suzuki left Sega last year, so there's a 99.9% chance that the series will never be complete. :l

I'm a fan of Shenmue, and I can't imagine wanting to play this. I enjoyed the mini-games and little quests of Shenmue too, but all I really cared about was the story. That's what needs to be finished. This should be a companion piece to the trilogy, not a game all by itself.

I am really disapointed, the fighting looks rigid and looks like it's from some cheap free online RPG. Compared to the fighting of Shenmue 1&2, this just looks ridculas. I mean the fighting system in Shenmue 1&2 was like Virtual Fighter(they even reference moves from Virtual Fighter), I don't know what I'm lookin at, yeah this series has gone through the gutter.
