  • what is this software called?

  • @TheMaskedRacoon If it lasts for more than 4 Dimensions, see a mathematician!

  • I... I don't even... The fact that you were able to accurately create a tesseract shadow is... but... 3-d "sides"... I... I'm going to sit in a corner and wish I hadn't even tried to think about 4-d space... never mind 5-d... I think I just gave myself a tumor. Kudos to you, sir.

  • MY MIND IS FULL OF FUCK.

  • The yellow one is trippy

  • what are the 4 dimensions for a shape like this?

  • could you give me the ilda file for this? ;D

  • WE CANNOT SEE 4D!!!

  • @7150285 Thank you Captain Obvious, I am sure most people didn't know that allready...

  • @Dudekawk if that was the case then whats the point of this video??? its still in 3D

  • @7150285 To show a 4D Cube Object, you CAN'T show anything in 4D yet, it's an abstract theory, and this helps to show it... You can Display it in 2D and you can Project it in 3D but you can show how 4D Works, but you can't actually show something in 4D because 4D doesn't exist at this moment. It's the same as when we didn't have electricity, it was an abstract idea that became real after many years of trial. 4D is at this stage, but currently, we don't know if it will work at all.

  • @Dudekawk i dont think we will ever be able to experience 4D since we are and always will be trap in 3D

  • @7150285 I have my deepest doubts... but it's not necessarily impossible

  • @Dudekawk well just think of this...is it possible for a 2D creature to see our 3D universe??? never...

  • @TheMaskedRacoon

    go see a tesserologist :/

  • @ZoofTv lol

  • 0:00 - 0:07 AWESOME.

  • how can I get my own copy of the software you're using in this vid?!?!?!

  • How does your laser drive works?

  • @Subspace4d : this is all standard laser-show equipment with special software

  • wtf are u guys on about its a square in a square but moving

  • wtf are u guys on about its a square in a square

  • Finnaly a video where you can tell that it's ROTATING and not TRANSFORMING.

    :)

  • The rotating hypercube drives my brain crazy for some reason.

  • what wireframe software is this? it's amazing!

  • @wiibart thanks, this is all home-brew stuff.

  • @ZoofTv Tell me more about your 3D engine, can I use it?

  • Your description has a mistake. It's a 3-dimensional projection of a four dimensional cube.

  • @joshuacurtisswenson No, the projection is actually 2D: flat on the wall. Your brain just makes it appear as 3D .

  • @ZoofTv true that - i don't know why I claimed otherwise.

  • awsome!

  • It might b irrellevant to the twodimensional projection of a theoretical 4d object.

But does it relate to reality?

And i am aware some scientist's in england came up with a membrane, in a vacum bith vibrating and standing stil..hehe. That way ''they mean'' proving an extra dimension

  • @ppedalen L: well, reality has 3 spacial dimensions so, no it does not relate to reality, at least our common reality. What I like about it is that the 4D->3D projection is mathematically identical to 3D->2D projection which allows us to visualize what the 3D `shadow' of a 4D object would look like. But the human brain really has no way to see 4D. Note that the 3D perspective is so persuasive that It is even hard to see the 2D without the 3D ..

  • so is it impossible for us to perceive the 4th dimension in any capacity other than pseudo3d(monitors)?

  • @MurakumoElite It is said that Charles Howard Hinton could do it. And also one other person that i forgot. Theoretically, it would be a lot better to use actual 3D models to help visualize 4D - rather than 2D computer monitors.

  • @joshuacurtisswenson that's true, Charles Howard Hinton must be a genius if he can tap into the otherwise unreachable world.

  • nice. but you should have had the hypercube sit still. and then rotate the view around it.

  • that is just a matter of point of view ;)

  • My friend... can u please explain me how you can see 3D on a standar 2D screen ???? Coz.. my physics are lost now... :) That is stereo-3D , 3D real was made only by Tarm ..real floating laser projections...

  • its not really 3d, its a 2d projection of the 3d objects in the computer

  • You realize that we only see in 2-d, right; therefor, that image on the computer is no different than what we really see.

  • but internally the computer stores the data as 3d.

  • internally the rep of the tesseract is 4D.

  • @zantrua how does the computer know what 3d is, if we are selves see in 2d, as depth isnt something our eyes see, but is merely an illusion created by our eyes. How have we managed to tell the computer something has depth... oh wait your right. Sry about that.

  • Yes, but on a computer screen you don't have stereoscopic vision.

  • Irrelevant. Besides, a computer can give the illusion of depth.

  • We see the World in 3D, because we have 2 different Projection Layers with diferent POV's.

Can't wait for the first 3D LCD's to watch an animation like this in real 3D, that would be a complete mindfuck!

  • 2d projection of a 3d projection of the shadow of a 4d object.

  • @NiamOfAsuras not quite, there the shadow is basically a projection. there is a projection from 4d to 3d the one from 3d to 2d.Only 2 projections taking place, but you said "projection" twice and "shadow" once...so that's one too many! :D

  • @NiamOfAsuras On a 2d screen :D

  • @NiamOfAsuras You're not the first to say this GENIUS

  • @masturbeight Im not? REALLY?! I SERIOUSLY DIDNT KNOW! /sarcasm..

  • What the f*** is that thing on the lower left corner?

  • it's a door handle I think XD

they projected the image on a door ...

  • A doorknob.... lol...

  • Well, I'm high. I see the same thing you see :-/

  • THey're not moving, time is an illusion created by the 4th dimension.

  • ha ha ha right

  • It is rotating. The yellow object is a tesseract whose 4D geometric coordinates are being rotated by the parameter of time, and projected into a 3D virtual world, projected onto our 2D screens. Its true geometry is 4D. The issue of time as a dimension is a physics topic, which is irrelevant in this context.

  • precisely!

  • @FluffyBunniesOnFire can you explain this a little more... That boggled me a little

  • @FluffyBunniesOnFire yeah- relativity theory doesn't have anything to do with this, buddy.

  • @joshuacurtisswenson I never said that it did.

  • @willdeyl i'd like to hear more about that theory. Message me.

  • So basicly, your moulding the cude around, but finding a way to put it back together?

  • ooh,,, something....

  • :O WOOOOOOW

  • wird, wird but AWSOME!!

  • awesome...
