My parent recorded it on the video, it was just lately My mum found it, so i put it onto dvd and let my own kids watch it.

Omg ! I remember that day I was apart of the dancers at the castle, running down the royal mile, Got to the stadium ,walked into the main arena with baskets of pigeons and doves. then let them go.Took basket away then sat down at the side of the race track. The loudest roar went up when the scottish team entered then again when Alan Ive got all the paperwork including lyrics ,certificate ,medal and All my good memories .smile with us, run with us ,a smile can brightin ur day.

Congrats to whoever posted this video. I was wearing a red tracksuit running thro Holyrood Park to Meadowbank Stadium & was one of the kids in the big bird, also. It was one of the most amazing times of my life. Awesome!

I remember we didn't know what was going on when this song was playing we ran in to stadium at the end of the song. I had a blue track suit that had those stupid capes at the back!

F*&K we thought we thought we were getting trendy Nike trackies and we got........jammies! Great memories...all that time off we got to rehearse ;)

It was standing in fields near Prestonpans for months if  I remember correctly.

I ran from st margarets loch to the stadium and was gutted that I didnt get to run with a dog hahaha. I remember everyone fancied Gerry with that toy in his shirt pocket hahaha. Go team B hahaha.

I cant believe we found this...omg.. ive still got my medal and my id to get in the grounds....i was in the bird thing has anyone got a better video of it?? havnt seen it to this day how sad were my parents...lol

OMG this was such fun to do , i remember that we got trackies n trainers and gold medal.Unfortunately my gold medal was stolen. but i hope everyone tht done this had as much fun as me..:0 thanks for posting this .!

OMG I too was one of the kids in this video, and i seen myself !!!! twice lol.... I have shown my daughter who is 19, and my family over in Austrailia !! It was like it was yesterday !!! I was wearing a red track suit 1.28 running behind someone in a white track suit..Glad to have found this !!! AMAZING !!!!

i was in the opening ceremony wearing the blue trackie. i was the little one at the front as it pans along. i remember cos my dad was in the crowd taking photos and zoomed in on me. what an experience.

It's so weird seeing this for the 'first time' I was there and I remember seeing clips on the screens in the stadium but couldn't get a proper idea of the numbers of kids involved until they arrived. As posted on another of these clips, I was 20 and fresh out of college in 1986 and got a job as a press officer at the Games for five weeks before and during the Games. I attended all the key events in my off time and 'closed' events like parties in the Games village. Great time, happy memories.
