@LeftLiberalSoCal- I don't know you are an Oxy student BUT you are 100% accurate on job situations for Oxy graduates. Only 1-2 employers come to Oxy each year to recruit students on campus... how sad is that when it's right next to downtown LA (second biggest city in the US)? LOL
My names ________ . I chose Oxy because I'm young and don't know what I want to do with my life. I just need to get out of my parents house. I don't know what I want to major in so I'll pick Liberal Arts. At least I will have a place to stay for the next 4 years. Afterward I will be a $100,000 student loan debt slave working at Best Buy who'll be lucky to get a job that pays $24,000 per year in the real world. But at least I'll have my college degree in Liberal Arts from Occidental College.
youre a dumbfuck, a college degree from a rigorous curriculum such as occidental prepares you for so much more than working at a best buy. is that what happened to you wittle baby?? you failed at life and now your bitter about it? these people dont leave college just to go get some bullshit job for high school graduates, they leave that for negative disappointed bitches like you :)
@jpalmz92 Hmmm.... I get what the fellow is saying, even though I wish to attend Occidental myself. Liberal Arts degrees don't hold the credit that reflects the weight of education undertaken to earn them. Colgate for example is purported to be a producer of better students than some Ivy Leagues.
A college degree is just a commodity subject to the forces of supply and demand. In other words: when everyone has a college degree the degree loses value and becomes worth less. ANYONE can get a loan and the supply of degrees has skyrocketed (except certain ones)
Your right. Go to college. Get 100k debt and become a DEBT SLAVE. Your so smart....
@LeftLiberalSoCal the point of college also is to gain knowledge and learn how to think and question different ideas as well as become competent in whatever field you wish to pursue. Sure, college degree's dont give you a pass as successful person but you should be going to college to learn and get a higher education which will help you to succeed in life. Dont go just cause you expect an above average salary in whatever career you chose.

@LeftLiberalSoCal ever heard of scholarships? they're these subsidies that allow people to go good schools without incurring outrageous student debt.
