Butterfly fish in reef is a case to case basis. I sold mine to a LFS because it is causing some troubles on my corals, clams, and tube worms. A friend of mine who keeps about 4 butterfly fish in his 240 gallon REEF TANK for more than 7 years has been good inhabitants of his system. Can't really say they are not reef safe although I'd definitely say "caution" when adding them to a reef setting.

lol they say false morish idols and copper band butterfly are not reef safe but i owned them for three years and they never caused any troubles in my tank.

no he is just a reglar cleaner wrass. always wanted to get a hawwain cleaner wrass butevery one my supplyer has tryed to bring in for me hasnt made it more then a couple of days?? so im not to sure if they would be a wise choce to have one in my tank,

Is that cleaner wrasse all blue? If so what kind is it. I' v seen blue and white ones (what ever there name is) and a hawaiian cleaner.

i use 8 t5 ho bulbs with ice cap reflectors, with uv technolegy bulbs they work great!! very brght!

im running a coral life 125 skimmer right now it is way to small for how much water i have i am going to be buying a octopus skimmer that is good for a 500 gal tank

i got him from my buddy jim at forty fathoms, he is by fare my fav tang, he started off at about 3 inch long in sept now he is 8 to 9 inch long he growing loke a weed!, but beware sohal tang are very agressive and they need lots of room, he is currently in with a yellow, hippo,puple,and bristle tooth and they all get along great!

thanx for the complement yes he did try to nip my lemonnelia when i first put him in but after i got him on to me feeding him he dosn't bother any coral anymore :)
