  • Heretics like Paul Washer teach that sinners must stop living in sin in order to be saved; whereas the Bible teaches that we need only come as GUILTY sinners to Jesus for forgiveness. God is the One Who changes our life. There's a big difference between repentance "OF" one's sins, verses "FROM" one's sins. The Word of God teaches that we simply need to realize we are GUILTY sinners for violating God's holy Law and turn to Jesus to be forgiven (Romans 3:19; Acts 16:31).

  • @narcissusnostalgia

Paul is right. Only "coming to God" does not mean means that You simply tell "I come to You, God". Coming to God means, that You start to show on Your life, behaviour, that You repent. You search for God's face. FAith must be based on the Bible, and not on theories or teachings. Do You remember, what Peter told to all that wanted to repent at pentecost? Acts 2,9

To repent: it is Your job. To be reborn: it is God's work in You.

  • @Hyperparabol that last part hit the nail on the head

  • Thank the Lord for helping you understand anything that you have understood, all i can say is just have alll your faith in God pls he will do whats best even when it doesn't look like its for the best it is because He is doing it

  • i have a question...does it mean we MUST be without blemish, sin, etc. as stated in psalms to enter the kingdom of God? i still have sinful thoughts/acts, but im not proud of it. I'm praying for a transformation to be without sin as much as possible. Someone please explain

  • continue pregando a palavra de DEUS. eu gosto de ouvir a palavra de Jesus Cristo. que Deus te abençoê

  • Listen to me. Before I was a Christian, I was a athiest, thiest, evolutionist, evolution by God, creationist, agnostic, I taped into Judaism, islam, greek philosophi, Nordic philosophi, american Christianity. Everything, I have been ther, done that. Most of religion and culture might be some sort of brainwashing, but at least now, my brain is clean. I questioned everything, over and over again, and here I am. And just for the record, we all know your problem. and why you hate God. God is good.

  • WoW.Amazing Testimonies...God is always GooD

  • @MarlinMr so what was your conclusion ? That abrahams God is the real deal ? Just asking :)

  • @MarlinMr thanks for sharing your history, thru it i became stonger in my belive

  • You're right friend: Much of religion IS brainwashing.

    And then there's the TRUTH.

    Have you truly sought it?

Or are you believing what others have told you?

What, may i ask do YOU believe??(cause EVERYTHING is a belief....)

  • Don't forget to do the same. What are you presupposing?

  • i will pray for you because you are sinning by changing Gods word that as you know is blastemy. That is also an unforgivable sin. i will pray that someone does go to hell because they belived you were telling them to judge others and to think they are perfect like Jesus the son of God. You need to reread your bible because God said no man will come before as a perfect man like the son of God as a perfect man. All men are sinners. But he is a forgiving Lord. He loves us and he does for us.

  • I don't think Paul Washer says that anybody is perfect like Christ. The contrary Paul explains indwelling sin in the believer in a very clear way.

  • I hope that you are not only going to pray but I hope that you will reread and reread your Bible. You need it!!!

  • 1 john 6 he that saith he abideth in him ought himself also to walk even as he walked.

  • E' bello vedere che i vostri fratelli evangelici italiani quando gli si fa una domanda dicono PACE e evitano di rispondere... meglio scrivere sempre sui post stranieri, così non si corre il rischio di venire cestinati senza risposta!

  • Even an apostle had a "thorn" in his side to keep his pride in "check".

  • does it mean that if you have problem with one peticular sin you are not saved??

  • There is a difference between sins of weakness and willful habitual sins A Righteous man may have sins of weakness and yet be a righteous man. Bro. Paul is not talking about sinless perfection, rather a style of life that is conforming unto Christ.

  • To Homeskoolfam6

Excuse me? Sin has not a last name, has it?

  • good news!

  • Man... Good stuff!

  • I don't know about the translation, but the English was perhaps the most simple and perfect explanation of the gospel I've ever heard in my life, and the fact that he has to slow it down for the translator just adds to that simplicity.

  • I speak German, so I can pick out spoken Dutch here and there. The written language completely escapes me though

  • Actually, I paid more attention to the English version since that's easier. But indeed he could have used a slightly more complete translation (wedergeboorte die leidt tot heiliging). Yet, in the context of the message he conveys the truth as Paul presents it. So the translator is OK, in my opinion.

I took notes of this: good stuff about who I am in Christ.

  • Ha, that's nice. I understand both English and Dutch so that's a plus for this message. The content was even better :)

  • this vid is nice but the translator makes mistakes and its quite annoying -_-

for example he translates regeneration as = being reborn

and its not quite what paul means

  • That's very interesting. Thanks for sharing because I do not know the Dutch language in the least.

  • I speak German, and I would have translated it the same way. There's no theological equivalent term for regeneration in German, as far as I know...it might be the same in Dutch. What's the difference between these two things?

  • In Dutch there is not a real difference between 'wedergeboorte' (regeneration) and 'opnieuw geboren worden' (born again), at least not in the circles I'm in. But as far as I understand the term 'born again' in the US is often connected to simply making a decision for Jesus or praying the sinner's prayer, while the term regeneration refers to the supernatural recreating work of God in salvation. Please correct me if I'm wrong, Lane.

  • Being born again in many circles here is connected to when "you made your decision to accept Jesus into your heart" or, as its becoming more popular these days, it's just the newer version of the same thing: "make your decision to follow Jesus" or "become a 'Christ follower'". Both are in error, but it's what we deal with here in the US.

  • I understand brother Paul but I think the man he is debating is drunk. I would have to say brother Paul won this debate hands down, yea for another debate won for the side of grace!

  • Your kidding right? The other guy is a translator but you knew that right?

  • so if someone wants to be saved, how do we say it?

  • @LaneCh but most people that say they are "born again" are not they just prayed a prayer and think thats it. not so, after that needs to come the rest of your life lived for him in EVERYTHING ...

  • Yes, there is a big misconception in my country (USA) about what it means to be reborn. People think it is a man-made decision on their part. They struggle in their walk because they rely on their own strength. There aren't any changes in their spirit, just in their mannerisms once or twice a week. When clergy focuses more on the quantity of members and not on the quality of salvation, and people remain lost. It's not their fault really. It's why they need to hear more preachers like Washer.

  • @Severion theres no such thing as a perfect translation but a very close one, they say the best translation reaches only 80% of accuracy in interpretation, i know something about this since i speak english, spanish ,some frencha nd italian.
