.my old place is like 80 something years old. and a lot of things has happened in that place that has me still paranoid and terrified of the dark.also for the sleepless nights, i feel your pain there cause i still go through it. and still see things. but i moved to a new place so it isent that bad,but i still hear and see things time to time.

He went down there with me to help with the laundry (like he often does). He would never go into the cellar himself because we would never let him. The stairs are very steep and it makes us nervous when he walks down them.

Interesting, I didn't think of that. I do find that very odd (what my blog has). I cannot determine what he really heard was (snake, pipes, paper sliding on floor etc), but when he mentioned "people sleeping down here say be quiet", that is what really got me thinking. For a two year old to come up with that was bothersome.
No, we never leave him unattended. He was two at the time and the cellar steps are very steep. On my blog is a pic of where he was sitting. When I was throwing clothes in the washer, he kept looking over my shoulder to the far corner of the cellar with a very straight face. Then he kept shrugging his shoulders (does that when nervous). I'm not scared due to the what I dealt with growing up. I tell him that I did not hear anything and that we will always be there for him. I don't get the ominous feeling that someone walked into the room which used to occur in my old house. He hasn't mentioned anything else after he turned 3.

TAPS is great. I like to debunk things too. There are so many reason people hear noises (old steam heat, water pipes, baseboard heat etc). I don't know what my son heard. Could be anything. But I can say I did not get the odd feeling someone else was there (like I did in my old house)
That's good.But kids can be more sensitive then we can.And TAPS always take cases where children are involved first because they have kids of their own.
Most of all say your prayer and teach you son to say them as well. You can try teaching him the "Our Father" and also you may want to say "Father, cover me and my son with the blood of Jesus Christ" I hope it all goes away and hope that it does not get worse in time. God bless you and your family and I pray that he keeps you all safe.
Also try keeping him away from the cellar if at all possible and put a light in the area. If you can set up a camera there at night or maybe throughout the day, that would be good. I lived in a house where there was weird things happening to us and where my mother would see things when we were not even at home so I believe in ghosts and paranormal things whole heartedly.
Seriously please take this to heart. If your child is indeed hearing things don't take them for granted. Children are prone to these kind of things more so than adults are. Have your house blessed but in the meantime try burning some incense, something strong like Myrrh or Frankincense (don't know if I spelt that right).

Hello dzovig1, sorry, I've been quite busy fixing up our house. Our son has not said any creepy stuff as of lately. He has been acting like a crazy, funny kid. Good example is the video of him called "Lollipop, Lollipop, Bang". I do find the paranormal stuff interesting though.
No, we have never done anything like that, but for my mother's house I would have liked to have them check it. I don't think anything is going on at the house we live in. It just turned 200 years old this year, but we have not had anything happen here. Only stuff my son has been saying is all.

No, we will not let him see any scary movies or games. That is what made us nervous. He only watches shows like The Wiggles, Dora the Explorer, Diego etc. It is very weird the things he came up with being only two years old.
Thanks. I have not added anything to the site for about a year or so, but do have more that I can put on it. I moved out of that house in 2000 when I got married, but my mom, sister and nephews still live there. We visit them about once a week. A lot happened in the house.
That's the weird thing. We do not let him see any scary movies,cartoons or video games. As much as I myself like that stuff, I will not let him see it until he is older. At the moment it is only shows such as Blue's Clues, The Wiggles, Jay Jay the Jet Plane etc. That is why this really concerned me. A kid that is not even 2 1/2 should not have the ability to make this type of stuff up.
The odd thing is that I have not had any weird feelings in this house. This year our house will be 200 years old. On the other hand, the house I grew up in is very scary and occasionally I (and many other people) would have a sudden looming feeling of dread. whats behind the wall in the dark section? did you check it? and he is telling you he is scared!!!! ask him if by chance those people talked to him or comunicated...how many are they.. my 11 year old son christopher sees too and sometimes he taked to them, he called one of them sugar, yea funny but true. if ik were youi always kept this section with lights on. dont be scared and ask for a medium.
The section in the cellar he was looking at is a bit odd. My mom (who used to live here) said that a very long time ago that corner of the cellar had a coal chute. It is a section that looks like two parallel openings you can walk through. One is about 4 feet high and 3 feet wide and the other is about 5 1/2 feet high and 4 feet wide.

Most of all say your prayer and teach you son to say them as well. You can try teaching him the "Our Father" and also you may want to say "Father, cover me and my son with the blood of Jesus Christ" I hope it all goes away and hope that it does not get worse in time. God bless you and your family and I pray that he keeps you all safe.

Also try keeping him away from the cellar if at all possible and put a light in the area. If you can set up a camera there at night or maybe throughout the day, that would be good. I lived in a house where there was weird things happening to us and where my mother would see things when we were not even at home so I believe in ghosts and paranormal things whole heartedly.

Seriously please take this to heart. If your child is indeed hearing things don't take them for granted. Children are prone to these kind of things more so than adults are. Have your house blessed but in the meantime try burning some incense, something strong like Myrrh or Frankincense (don't know if I spelt that right).

Hello dzovig1, sorry, I've been quite busy fixing up our house. Our son has not said any creepy stuff as of lately. He has been acting like a crazy, funny kid. Good example is the video of him called "Lollipop, Lollipop, Bang". I do find the paranormal stuff interesting though.

Unfortunately I have not seen any snakes around here. But if I did, I'd try to catch it and let my son see it (no poisonous snakes in this area).

No, we have never done anything like that, but for my mother's house I would have liked to have them check it. I don't think anything is going on at the house we live in. It just turned 200 years old this year, but we have not had anything happen here. Only stuff my son has been saying is all.

he never came back :) be safe people never doubt the power of the elbowdrop
aim for the face because an elbowdrop on the sholder isnt that effective

Yeah, tried that, but I hit my head on the pipes on the ceiling, then it got away. It is tough to stand up down the cellar (low ceilings)

If you are insinuating that your kid is either hearing ghosts, seeing the dead, or that your house is haunted, you seriously need to grow up. Don't project your issues onto your poor kid. And to the people who have responded here - - the dead aren't talking to you, because you're too boring to hold a conversation.

when my younger sister is his age she always play with someone we dont see.... one time she was crying she have lots of scratches and bruises around her arms and legs, when my parents asked her who did the bruises she says MAria ( her playmate that we dont see!! )

That's what I thought originally. The heat was on and off (it was October), but does not hiss, it is baseboard heat and thumps. I myself have not heard any hiss noises.

No, we will not let him see any scary movies or games. That is what made us nervous. He only watches shows like The Wiggles, Dora the Explorer, Diego etc. It is very weird the things he came up with being only two years old.

Thanks. I have not added anything to the site for about a year or so, but do have more that I can put on it. I moved out of that house in 2000 when I got married, but my mom, sister and nephews still live there. We visit them about once a week. A lot happened in the house.

That's the weird thing. We do not let him see any scary movies,cartoons or video games. As much as I myself like that stuff, I will not let him see it until he is older. At the moment it is only shows such as Blue's Clues, The Wiggles, Jay Jay the Jet Plane etc. That is why this really concerned me. A kid that is not even 2 1/2 should not have the ability to make this type of stuff up.

The odd thing is that I have not had any weird feelings in this house. This year our house will be 200 years old. On the other hand, the house I grew up in is very scary and occasionally I (and many other people) would have a sudden looming feeling of dread. Somewhat as if someone that was about to do something bad walked into the room at that moment. I even made a site about the house. in-the-darkness.tripod. com

whats behind the wall in the dark section? did you check it? and he is telling you he is scared!!!! ask him if by chance those people talked to him or comunicated...how many are they.. my 11 year old son christopher sees too and sometimes he taked to them, he called one of them sugar, yea funny but true. if ik were youi always kept this section with lights on. dont be scared and ask for a medium.

The section in the cellar he was looking at is a bit odd. My mom (who used to live here) said that a very long time ago that corner of the cellar had a coal chute. It is a section that looks like two parallel openings you can walk through. One is about 4 feet high and 3 feet wide and the other is about 5 1/2 feet high and 4 feet wide.
