ok, ff8 isn't a bad game really. I just hated the battle system, some parts in the story were stupid (ragnarok in space) but this game had potential to be really good. This ending is actually pretty good.

Whenever i see this clip/movie anywhere, i always reminisce the time i was playing the whole game,

those sleepless nights, it made me want to play more, and more..

by changing the name of the main character to mine, it made me feel a part of the game and a part of the story itself.

as if i was playing it literally..

as if i was it..

and i even wished for them to be real.

i love the main characters story, but the story of laguna and elena also did made its mark on me.

I don't think he "dies" at the end of the game. I think he was getting exhausted and those flashbacks were getting distorted because of that plot point about Guardian Forces messing up memories. Basically, he thought he was done for, had some flashbacks that were starting to slip, and passed out.

another theory is yes, he's dead at the end of disc 1, and the rest of the game is played out as tho he isn't dead. as in played out in an alternate reality of things that were to come but didn't.

i personally believe he didn't die, and with the time compression just simply got lost in it till rinoa found him.
