@babymalai I agree, ive seen webbing go from root too the tree top all on a line of four trees, it coated only the east side, the otherside was untouched, oh and there were no spiders. These look like Orb Weavers to me, but i thought they could only be found in tropical climates.
Was it actually spiders? The way that everything is instrisically wrapped makes it seem like the work of caterpillars, and that spiders are just jumping on the feast bandwagon.
@guicapone2 Hi...It's my understanding that the cool weather came and nature took its course. I don't think the web is still there. Thanks for watching the video.
"oooooo it makes me wanna get closer and touch it". like how dumb can man get, first it started with cave men and fire. Then government with there nuclear power. Then MJ and children. Now people and huge fukn webs with spiders. Solution, We are in the modern age, government is too pussy to provoke nuclear warefare, but would eventualy fuk it up anyway, MJ dead, and finally, giant web with spiders, flame thrower and lots of napalm. plan B " nuke em", only way to be shure.
you can see something like this in spider birth season. om meadows where spiders are born, millions of baby spiders will spin a string and attempt to make it catch air making the spider lift of and fly away. all string that dont catch air will form a carpet over the meadow.
in some parts of australia in the right season you can get acres of mangrove forest covered in web from a breed of orb spider with a golden colored web..they can be as big as your hand..but the web deposits are not as thick as this ..amazing vid
This video is so old, I actually remember when this was on the local news. This wasnt made of A spider it was made out of ALOT of spiders. Scientists visited the scene and took alot of tests and noticed that the spiders of this place was webbing the thing up together like a colony
Sorry to burst the horror movie-like bubble but spiders are canabalistic. They do not live in pairs much less "colonies", do not "get together" and spin communal webs, and do not "signal each other" other than drumming the web or ground when initiating mating. This is just an area with an unusually high population of spiders building individual webs very close together. The area covered here is extremely large but is not unusual to find webs so close together that they appear to be 1 huge web.
I love spiders. And im not suprzed by this. theres been spider colonys in other countrys for such a long time its just people are just incredibly scared of arachnids just cause there not 'cute and cudly."
I say go spiders tho knowing most people the poor things will be killed out of fear like people used to do with wolves and other "Pests"
Umm.. Just a suggestion, maybe these trees are very popular to the spiders and alot of them used to live there and made they're own webs to form this huge webbed tree
Imagine if a bird flew in there by accident. They would get stuck and die there. I have seen spiders catch birds and eat them in there webs but they were HUGE spiders. Hi by the way :)

No way I would bike 1 inche without looking carefully. Nothing is as creepy as getting a web, wíth a spider, right in your face ;)
I get the shivers already when reading this. ;)

there are so many adjectives you could use to describe that

aaaaargh, it still gives me creeps!
I once walked with my face in a spider web, since then I'm more then terrified of webs and spiders.
And they do nothing, so I wonder what makes people scared.
But still, in autumn when the place here is covered with webs I look véry careful where I walk
arafel1964 3 years ago
Shit, my yard used to be like that every spring and fall.
One of the reasons I stopped liking spiders.
