@PunchProfessor EVERYONE over here at Grampas say's thanks and keep the videos rolling! We would love for you to stop on by, when your down this way in Southern California Thanks Agian Paul
Your comment is very accurate where you noticed that the Technique I use on the Speed Bag is a tap that would set an opponents head up for the Power Punch ! ! !
Thanks for the educated comment, I appreciate it ..
that was really good! i thought you were just joking at the starting cause i never see anybody using the speed bag like that but later on you were really good. you had great rthym. i use the speed bag at my mma school every time i go there and keep practicing and i hope that one day i could do just good as you. Good job!
damn. i thought you were just blabbing when I saw your name as punchprofessor but you got it down packed LOL. you believe in the science. i've only seen Bruce Lee take the speed bag that seriously. i've gotten as good as marching/jumping with the bag and some right hand/left hook traps in my time, but you're doing every damn thing possible. awesome.
Your statement that I believe in science is as true as it gets... Opposed to them that that say a puncher must be born with power ...... I say, after much testing,
"Power can and should be studied as in Baseball, Golf, and any other sport, it's in the BIO MECHANICS"
you're absolutely right.when i was a kid i used to train punching the padded football goal posts(all by myself lol). short punches/long punches. i believed that workng on grounded objects would only make you so much more powerful. plus the mechanics as you said. so true. Arguello was a math teacher and he was so devastating. your technique reminds me of Bruce Lee's jeet kune do. he was a master at the concept.
Very interesting the things you say and noticed, first I went to Bruce Lee's Funeral and second I was in the same gym with ARGUELLO for a few years and it was his technique I copied and his way of Studying his owe punching that opened my eyes.. I have had great experiences at the 5th Street Gym on Miami Beach were I spent years during the time when Muhammad Ali was Champ and also trained there.. So much more ...
Man bro ever since ya sent me those two vids ya got me hooked on those techniques. I like the workout and the timing you have to perfect to trap the bag
in all directions and to make those strikes as clean and powerful as possible. I kinda vision it being a head gettin jammed up with every blow, thanks
These are Boxing Techniques that are rarely seen in Boxing Gyms anymore .
The head being banged is exactly what the practice is and the soft touches are paries blocks and touches that would in reality set up the big punch. I been telling folks for a long time that the speed bag is realistic in practice. I have heard renowned Boxing peole say the Speed Bag is NOT applicable to Boxing. I fight with the bag in my workouts ! ! !
Awesome display of power trapping the of the bag in the opening, and very smooth continuous linking front to back and elbow strikes during the later part. Man, you are owning the speed bag! Great job!
@PunchProfessor why do you hit the speed bag like that? why not hit it the traditional way?
FightClubBRK 2 months ago
@FightClubBRK
Good Question !
I do hit in a more traditional way much of the time.
Truly who wants to watch another video where I hit the bag just like the next guy
I have learned from Old School. Some of what I learned 35 ~ 40 years ago has been lost today. I am attempting to perfect these techniques.
Perhaps some of it will be revived.
Much of what I do in my videos is very practical for Combat Sports.
Thanks for the question, check my other videos, I hit all the bags.

Trapping is a great workout. At the end of every workout I spend a good few minutes trapping, it's great for warming down to.
