  • is that nafta jobs to mexico al gore? 2:05 not a surprise i guess

  • this mother fucker was a mean person he didnt give a fuck about this employees

  • now we need macs with AMD processors XD

  • @prenny133 Or you could just use a PC.

  • @BrandonC3 Macs are PCs anyway

  • braaavoooooo!!!! yeahhhh! he wants to report intel is ready!!! rock and roll baby!! everyone's so god damn excited, fucking idiots!!

  • RIP Steve Gates

  • @dogzer it's steve jobs..but this seems legit :3 if you merge those to together ''steve jobs and bill gates.. you would have a super computer god..but indeed steve is no more''

  • bromance

  • and that was the day that the Macintosh became the world's most expensive average PC.

  • @TheTechnoToast

God, when will people learn that horse power does not equate to performance. It's how you use it kiddo. I'd rather have an aluminum piece of art that will re sell for 75% of it's original price, then a plastic eye sore that drops 50% the second it leaves the store. Thanks for coming out

  • @interfacetrumpsspecs ok well that's your preference. I'd rather have a computer that WORKS. I own an eMac which has faulty capacitors, so it freezes all the time, and I use modern 2008 iMacs every saturday at school, and 26 of the 27 of them don't even boot up properly. Apps crash, Finder freezes, and since they moved to intel, that's only made the stability worse.

  • @TheTechnoToast Really? you find? I never used Power PC Macs so I don't find a difference. 'm not saying that they don't crash, christ mine does most day, but be honest, so does yours. I just like the environment I guess, I spend less time trying to understand how to do something within the computer and just get down to Editing. I'm not afraid to say I like owning a shiny box that has been through hell and back and still works. Man you should see the dents on my laptop! lol

  • @interfacetrumpsspecs yeah of course! I don't particularly dislike Macs, in fact I love them, but I would skip buying a Mac for the sake of stability. I have both PC and Mac so I can see the stability issues :-)

  • @TheTechnoToast Actual, It got allot cheaper.

  • Strange. I thought Apple used to diss Intel. Now they're using it, wow.

  • @Crashbndcoot121 That's because in the Pentium 4 days, AMD CPUs were the best. But when the Intel Core2 CPUs came out, they were like twice as powerful as Pentium 4 for the same clockspeed. And with duos and quads, it was a massive leap forward in CPU power. Intel haven't looked back since.

  • I love my imac g4 with a 800MHz PowerPC g4

  • @pd3331 FUCK YEAH!

  • Intel was like "CHAAAAAA CHIIIIIIINNNNGGG !!!!"

  • Watching this on my macbook pro 13 inch 2011 model.

  • I'd like to see him try and make some CPUs with that wafer, the slightest amount of dust will ruin them let alone fingerprints XD

  • @GoBanana that disc is a large circle grid or wafer of individual processors I think there's hundred of them on it, they get seperated for one to a computer

  • History.

  • RIP OAwww man I'm on a MacBook pro

  • steve jobs continued to wear the same clothes for the next 5 years haha <3

  • Two of the top CEO on the stage!

  • I so hoping he would drop the thing.

  • 17 people use windows

  • @nastorrian I use linux

  • @ashia4life313 ye, bulldozer is worse than phenoms

    pwned lmfao

  • IBM was making the mac processors before intel. IMB fell behind.

  • Steve Jobs: Coolest nerd with the Coolest foster parents.

  • Whats the bronze plate?

  • lame ass shit

  • My Birthday was in June 6 :3

  • So it was how the Hackintosh become alive.

  • looser

  • ما افهم انجليزي بس احب طريقة تقديمه للمؤتمر

  • Steve should have sneezed on it or dropped it just to be funny. I know its not a real platter, but that would be a hilarious.

  • There is a joke that went around in the 80's when IBM went crazy for Intel , "What is the difference between IBM and a Cactus?-- A Cactus usually had the pricks on the outside."

  • hahah Steve really had to put a intel in your macs. Steve hated IBM

  • He is holding a waffer. CPU are "printed" on this waffer and than cut. If you drop one, you are fired.

  • @Mishkafofer i would imagine that it was some wafer from testing batch.

  • @Lius525 probably, or damaged or demo. Those waffer contain commercial secrets, i don't think they throw them in to garbage cans.

  • @Mishkafofer I would've stolen it.

  • @Mishkafofer where can i hear more about this?

  • @Mishkafofer What waffle?

  • 2:04 fat Bill Gates

  • @willenribeiro12 That's Al Gore

  • @matthewkelly1983 man just a joke

  • 15 people use PowerPC :-)

  • great day picking, intel shipping on 6-6-6

  • I miss Steve.

  • @TrollingHardcore hard one xD

  • Hes holding the remote for the presentation

  • what is he holding?

  • what is he holding??

  • rip steve jobs you change the world our dear friend...

  • Comment removed

  • around fuck asshole

  • R.I.P.

  • The change was more about money then anything else. They had the iphone project and they could not afford to have engineers making custom chips for the mac.

It was a big gamble as the first Intel macs were dogs but the change was well handled and by the time core 2s came out the OS was stable and since all the software was written in high level porting to the new cpu was easy.

  • AMD beats Intel

  • @LeetZoneProductions

    Looks at bulldozer.....

    FUCK NO!!!!!

  • @pheeson Bulldozer is awesome

  • @LeetZoneProductions

are you in denial or something?

i was the biggest AMD fan, i held off getting sandy bridge thinking bulldozer would whoop their ass, but amd kept delaying and delaying and came out with a fart called bulldozer.

so fuck amd and fuck their hype machines, 8 core my ass

  • they both ready, they can start making children

  • @WizzRacing Yeah, I totally agree.

  • I will say it again. Most people that think Macs are cheap are people under 20 years old that can't afford one. So how the hell would they know. They never even used one outside a store more then 1 day.

It's like people saying Snap-On tools are over priced mine are just as good. I tell them then why do people use Snap-On as the bench mark for all others to to beat! Because they are better and people know it!

  • @eivissano Well, I don't know exactly mean but I think the reason Macs have less problems is not the os itself but the hardware it runs on, macs were designed for mac hardware so it runs more smoothly, however, pc runs on hundreds of different types of hardware and that's why it crashes more because it is hard for an os to be compatible with every computer and it must have hundreds of drivers. I'm a pc and mac user and I have to disagree, I have had more problems on the mac than windows.

  • @theliambell The Mac O.S. locks 3rd party vendors out from accessing the Kernel. This insures that the memory works better. If you understand the hardware and software layers, You get a better understanding why they do it.

I know going from Motorola to Intel chips was not an easy task. They had to overhaul the O.S. from the ground up to do it. You have porting, pointers, etc.. to get it all right again. One reason they had to issue a few more patches then normal. Apple was smart using Intel.

  • @theliambell Try "hundreds of thousands of drivers" and you're probably closer.

  • Comparing MS Windows (name your preferred version) to OS X, then OS X comes out the winner.

With all Windows versions, on many computers, I have had problems, some worse than others. With the two OS X versions that I have (had), I have not.

This is not because OS X is "tailor-made" for the Mac hardware. Linux is also not "tailor-made" for PC hardware (as is Windows), and I do not have the same problems with Linux as with Windows.

Microsoft Windows simply is inferior to both.

  • ok r.i.p. but come on! ooh poor -very,very,very...rich- Steve, only occidentals can be so stupid. Apple=fascism of informatics. a 1000 dollars pc outperform easy a double prized mac i-shit ... he wasn't a genius,he was a great manager and for me it's like nothing. Fermi and Bach were genial or Dennis Ritchie for informatics if you prefer. kindly shut up all you S&M AppleFanboys

  • @rikibitta I will bet you a Mac will eat any Windows PC hands down. I can run any Adobe application, Audio\Video application and it will be open and closed before you can get Windows to even run the program. People are so stupid about software they don't notice it, Because its not a game machine running COD or Crysis.

One reason you can run Windows on Macs, but you can't run OSX on any Windows machine. If it was the same parts it should, but it can't because they are not the same parts!

  • @WizzRacing You can run OSX on a PC, but why? You're forgetting that the only difference between a PC and a Mac is the software - Steve said that himself. You could run MacOS on any PC if Apple would allow it...that's where the term Hackintosh comes from. However, OS X is designed to run on a Mac, and there's really no benefit to running it on a PC.

  • @clokverkorange I said running windows application's on Mac's now, nothing about PC's.

People who have tons of Windows application's can now run them on the Mac. No need to have 2 machines. That allows people to learn how to use the Mac, while at the same time investing in one machine. One reason you see the sales of Mac's rise after the Intel chip arrived.

People who hack the PC to run OSX don't care much. They do it for fun or to learn how. It still got to pass the hardware test to do it.

  • @WizzRacing You're talking out of your ass. I know plenty of people that want the power of a PC but still want to run OSX, so they hack OSX to work on their PC. Plus, Mac has only managed to capture 6% of the total computing market, so I don't even see why it's an issue.

  • @clokverkorange You idiot, Mac's are more powerful then any PC! Add the fact that all the Audio\Video applications that run faster are designed for Mac's not a PC first. You could take a lesson in marketing. The users that can afford Mac's are buying them over the PC today over cloned box's with crap OEM hardware and useless Microsoft OS.

  • @WizzRacing Except most processors in the Macs aren't as powerful (Look at the Mac Pro! It's not even Sandy Bridge!) and before you go saying stuff, I'm a Mac fan and I own 2. They are slightly underpowered. The Air and Mac Pro specifically. Pros and iMacs are pretty level though.

  • @kyleiskoollerthanyou Apple Fanboy is mad seriously bro there are better computers than macs and you can't accept that well good luck with I know many professional computer software developers saying that windows is a better system and very compatible with everything don't complain saying windows sucks when a professional will not use a Mac because they are useless except for maybe audio production

  • thats an empty plaqe???

  • no one in there know why have an intel is important. Buy apple today is for snobbish people

  • They where making fun of Intel back in the PPC days. Now they relay on them. Problem Apple?

  • bullshit graph, an increase of 20% should not be ten times taller, guess mac guys are too blind to see this obvious bullshit

  • both are white XD

  • huge mistake intel. huge mistake.

  • An interesting question - why Intel and not AMD?

  • @eivissano stability issues..

&mostly heat, those old mobile AMD cpu's got really hot fast!!!

and it could be that AMD didnt have enough funding to support this project

  • @eivissano Because Intel makes better chips.

  • @eivissano They didn't have the low power CPU road map Intel had

  • I think that the best product that apple made was the Apple 1, without it there would be no apple! Thumbs up if you agree!

  • The same company that used to bash on intel for making slower chips than them.

  • @anthyman1 Well at the time it was true. In 1999 if you wanted a fast CPU you wanted a PowerPC 7400 or as Apple called it a G4. Unfortunately the Power PC series never kept up after that; they were constantly missing deadlines and power efficiency requirements. Switching to Intel CPUs just made a lot of sense by that time seeing a doubling of performance per watt numbers.

  • @anthyman1 Wrong!

Apple never made CPU's, they only used Motorola series along the time, starting with Motorola RISC CPU's like 6809E, Motorola 68000, Motorola 68020, 68030 and 68040. I have never heard of any CPU's manufactured by Apple so far.

  • @utubosaur Well the A4 and A5 chips that are in iphones and ipads are made by apple.

  • @bouchandre Well, wrong again :)

A4 and A5 are DESIGNED by Apple and MANUFACTURED by SAMSUNG and ARM Ltd (which is a british company). A4 and A5 are NOT CPU's, they are SOC's (System On a Chip).

Apple A4 and A5 are based on the ARM processor architecture. They combine an ARM Cortex-A8 for A4 and ARM Cortex A9 CPU for A5 's with a PowerVR GPU (from Imagination Technologies - former VideoLogic).

SAMSUNG uses these chips in their own phones as well (Samsung Wave S8500 & Samsung Galaxy S I9000).

  • @bouchandre They're actually made by Samsung.

  • @anthyman1 its not like they were sying that one month before the switch, PowerPC was a really good platform, but motorola and IBM started to take crap on it and didn't care that much anymore, thats why apple switched. PowerPC architecture had definetely some upsides to x86.

  • @anthyman1 Apple never made their own chips, Motorola made them before Intel did.

  • @anthyman1 And Ford used to be the number one carmaker. Industries change.

  • @clokverkorange

But Ford still uses it's own engines.

  • @clokverkorange I think ARM is going to surpass Intel's x86.

  • hahha Apple hipsters.... turning computers into a religion.. Apple = Scientology? Steve Jobs = L. Ron Hubbard?

    I mean... hhahahaha

  • sexy wafer...

  • @nexova Mac Mini !!!!!

  • why not AMD

  • 1000 people? for the same prozessors as in every different compter?

  • "intels ready" WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO000000000OO0O0O0OOO0O0O00000000OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

  • rip steve

  • AL GORE 2:04

  • I love Intel macs; those who despise them should be brought to the street and forced to eat yellow apples.

  • RIP Steve Jobs :(

  • 1:21 That ankward moment when you think should pat in the back lol

  • Whats that disk thing?

  • @nexova

    A wafer

  • it's all about showbusiness

  • no offence but what a shitty power point,

  • @AnonDW40 Hopefully you could make something better than this + a better speech. All powerpoints in WWDC events always come with speeches. That's the way it's complete & awesome.

  • @diewahrheitistnochda no Steve Jobs Is an inspiration to everyone he was a amazing man he brought us everything good about the computer world to us and you can not be the one to judge that! Nobody cares what you think. So don't say things like that about a guy who everyone has learned something from

  • @diewahrheitistnochda I take it that you can't afford a mac.

  • Thank you Steve :)

  • R.I.P. Steve Jobs

  • Jobs should gave thanks to microsoft too. If Microsoft wouldn't push with their hardware requirements to intel they would never be what they are now and mac would steel have motorola's uc

  • bouchandre: they are called wafers, and I supposed they are rounded because they sliced from a cilindrical ingot which I pressumed they are easier to handle if they got this shape

  • Rest in Peace, Steve Jobs ! You will always be remembered !!

  • Can someone tell me why does the metal plate on wich they make the processors are rounded?

  • R.I.P Steve Jobs =(

  • RIP

  • i miss you steve

  • "Mental note: My G series were more prettier and better..."

  • R.I.P.

  • "Every time a Steve Jobs keynote ended, he got a standing ovation and the crowd erupted. Every time he walked up on stage to give a new keynote or to launch a new product, he got a standing ovation and the crowd erupted. The world was his stage, and he was the performer. And today as he walks out of this stage, we give him a standing ovation only to be sure that when he walks into heaven, the crowd will erupt and the Gods will stand and applaud."

  • @OurMoments3 Strange that today, in 2011, no one understands that all the people in keynotes that gave standind ovations, screams and seems to be over reacting are paid people to do just that.

Apple paid a lot of people in New York to go to buy an iPhone at the Apple Store, just to give the impression to the world that it's a desired product. This gives the essence of the Apple customer: a lobotimized individual who can't understand technology but is easily manipulated by marketing.

  • @darkcg79 I'm sure, there's something true in your message. But that's how it works in 2011 ;) And Steve Jobs had many fans, real fans. And his keynotes were great and he had great ideas. He changed the world. You can say what you want, but he was a visionary. He did his job so well. And his keynotes were great. Amazing!

And their products are good. That's a fact. Otherwise people wouldn't by them (for example: They didn't buy an Apple product called "Newton").

I hope you understand me also.

  • @OurMoments3 well for me there is no GODS no but there is a GOD. Only 1

  • @OurMoments3 Ugh God.... "the God(s?) will be standing" , how hyperbolic, these humans.

  • @OurMoments3 noone cares

  • @Se7enHxC Dickhead.

  • Where is the AMD macs ?

  • @HydeCoolLaruku They can't play games so they're rejected. :P

  • @trekker123eski LOL

    Fanboy with no brains

  • @trekker123eski Can't play games ?

    LOL

Do you think AMD is a calculator ?

  • @trekker123eski if i want to play games i'd get a ps3 or an xbox

  • They should do amd macs.

  • That graph was manipulative. It didn't show the growth withe proper relationship to the base.

  • Steve Job would to get AMD for Mac Computers, but I think intel has Apple money paid for no AMD system!

  • OMG! that round thing is about 1m prossesors and the cost 32m! omg... I am so jelous..

  • Comment removed

  • Steve Jobs is like the iMac generations super thick to super thin

  • LIKE if you're on an Intel Mac.

  • ジョブズ様がまだまだ健康的なお姿の頃。

  • @apjkoji01 хохохооох!!! Английский СУКА!!!

  • mac is already dropping intel again... unthankfull bastards.

  • @Masterpj555 sort of, they are only dropping support for 32-bit intel processors, the Core solo and Core duo. nothing more

  • typical Apple,

    cant beat em?

    cant sue em?

well it looks like we're going to have to make an exact copy then call it magical and revolutionary and people will eat it up like flies to shit,

i remember when all the little Mac faggots would call Intel processors shitty hahaha oh the irony

  • introducing .... the intel silicone platter.... its a fancy paper weight thats only 500000000 dollars. get yours doday!

  • steve is a money-milking cocksucka just like bill gates

  • Apple's partnership with intel

  • This was done on my birthday. AWESOME.

  • you can run Windows on an Intel Mac and Mac OS X on an Intel PC.
