  • keep hating on us but the church is the best

  • Amazing. No script at all, but the message is very clear. Thank you for these video, thanks for sharing your coat.

  • Who was the artist of the music?

  • Heber J Grant continued to give away treasures to people throughout his life. I have a few signed books that he gave to a family in Logan Utah. I think he gave many books away to friends and family. There are other stories of him giving freely to others that have been shared before.

  • Ok did not expect to cry....

  • My husband & I cried while watching this video :') What a beautiful message!

  • these are qualities whch everyone should follow

    not just mormons

sadly though most people only follow parts of the bible that suits them and shun the rest

some people just forget the most important part of any religion

    Humliity

theres a difference betwen righteousness and self rightesousness and people of all our religions need to realise that otherwise it will put people of religion in general

ive seen it happen to many times

    great video by the way

  • This is one of the best Mormon Messages I've seen. It reminds me of the one with the boys putting the dollar coins in the farmers' shoes.

  • @soundfxboy I love that story

  • Can any one help me? I am looking for a video.

I saw a video about a girl who is keeping mobile phone, and a boy who is playing video game a day long; finally, they both are realize to love or help those people around them.

If there are anyone know what l had mention, please send me the link.

    Thanks a lot

  • @sunmommylove The video you're looking for may be the Mormon Message for Youth, "Things as They Really Are."

  • @MormonMessages You are right. Thx

  • A beautiful story, so beautifully told and without a word!

    yellowrose

  • Love this video

  • Most watching this probably know this but for any who don't--This is a true story from the life of George Albert Smith.

Truly touching example of living what you preach.

  • Some of the most powerful videos put out by the church say nary a word. Powerful.

  • I don't even know how they manage to make EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US cry!! The same thing happens at the end of The Testaments when Christ heals the blind nephite. Every time!!!

  • I love this story but wouldn't it better to invite the child to his home instead of just giving him his coat.

  • @BigPandaWebStudio I'm sure the thought did cross his mind, but he was just a little boy who didn't know what he was supposed to do.

  • its on the IPAD app store my dad made it dad i am Emily thank you

  • Love it

  • I cried...SO HARD

  • Oh how beautiful! The drawings on this ad were wonderful! Please give us more and put this on regular TV! Im so tired of the bad ads on TV - we need more uplifting ads!

  • no matter how many times i watch this, i always cry... perfect for true holiday spirit

  • Reminds me what christmas is about...

  • ...who disliked this?!

  • I absolutely love this video it makes me wanna cry :') :')

  • I remember hearing this one in sunday school as a child, I believe it's a story that helped save me or in other words it helped save my heart. It's quite intense as far as humaness goes.

  • It is through difficult circumstances that we face that allow us to feel this kind of love, the pure love of Christ. I am grateful for this video and I am grateful for the challenges that I have in my life that allows me to love others.

  • What do you call this kind of animation? It is so intriguing!

  • It's videos like this that need to be featured on youtube...

  • @vanderley3 What about well done muslim videos?

  • BEAUTIFUL music - what is it??? : )

  • I luv this sweet story!!! Very precious.. We had some very hard Christmases through the years.. Three years in a row my husband lost his job just before Christmas.. And we were so blessed to receive bunches of gifts and money and coats for each of my four boys.. and daughter. one of the Christmases.. and we really needed them.. What a blessing!!

  • Love the illustration!!

    Great story

  • Simply Lovely

  • I will never get tired of saying that joining this church was the best thing I could have ever done!

  • Great message; however, the wierd cartoon has to go. All the other mormon messages are so good because they are not cartoons. The church is not anime.

  • Love this! Perfect for Che tomorrow! Really precious, thank you!

  • I really want to know the name of the song used in this mormon message. Anyone have any idea?

  • Pretty good!! :)

  • Maravilloso, ¡¡que necesidad tenemos de ponerlo en práctica!!

  • Guys does anyone knows the name of this song..? .. Its awesome ... :)

  • such a wonderful great message (go Mormons!!)

  • This made me feel great and happy! I love being LDS.

  • Yeah, thanks for making me cry guys! I'm going to share this with with my little brothers, and everyone I see.

  • actions speak louder than words.

  • I love this video but wonder where the child in the alley went. Even though I wonder this the video still touches me more than I can describe.

  • It has been one year and two months since I baptized my family. I am thankful for the blessing of the prompting to come to the church of LDS.

  • Who dislikes things like this? I wonder. Even though this was a little cartoon, I learned A LOT.

  • Verdadeiro Espírito de Natal, Lindoo!!

  • oh my goodness, thats so seet <3

  • so now he is the kid in the alley with a red coat? I really dont get it.

  • @JustBeClever The young boy who had just gotten the new coat gave it to the poor little boy in the alley because he was so cold and had none. He had compassion for the other boy above himself. Like Christ would have us be.

  • This reminds me in a Family that gave to a poor Family. Gave them their tree and turkey and had pasta and sauce for Christmas dinner .. Each Child was told to get on present under the tree and give to the Family. With the help of Friends and the giving Family, this poor Family had a wonderful Christmas......That was the best Christmas the Family had, which taught the Children love one other and give to the poor....Now years later that story is told every year.

  • @movienut99 Great post. Anthony Robbins came from humble beginings when 1 day volunteers came to their house with a christmas hamper and his dad had too much pride to accept even though his family had nothing. Anthony slip through the back door to accept the hamper while the volunteers were leaving:) Classic!!

  • There are not enough words in the enlish language to describe how much this touches me.

  • @MonolithproductionsT

That's probably why the only words are the scripture reference at the end!

  • The music really added to the ambiance of this Christmas story.

  • this is is so good.

  • Pretty good!

  • Now! that's how to bring a grown man - a hard cynic to tears. Well done!! Simple but oh, so effective.

    Al

  • I'm touched by the beauty of the message, but can't help feel we are all condemned for not rushing out and bringing that child into our homes. What man among you having twelve sons ... saith unto the one: Be thou clothed in robes and sit thou here; and to the other: Be thou clothed in rags and sit thou there—and looketh upon his sons and saith, "I am just"? Behold, this I have given unto you as a parable, and it is even as I am. I say unto you, be one; and if ye are not one ye are not mine.

  • to the artist: thanks for using your creative talents to share the Savior's message with the world

  • in the russia

  • Beauty-full!

  • muy bonito!! :)

  • I'm not a mormon but I like this video anyway

  • @rudemood2011 You don't have to be to love beauty and goodness. :)

  • I look forward to showing this video to my children. Short enough to keep their attention, simple message for them to understand. Thank you!

  • I loved this video! It was so precious...

  • as of late, the Church has come out with many a good production. keep it up!

  • simple and yet, so powerful, just as the small acts of charity can be. loved this. :)

  • No words needed...beautiful!

  • Just made my day.

  • No words needed to convey this powerful message. I wish there were more messages like this!

  • touching , love it

  • I love this message so much :) It has such a sweet spirit to it and I was blessed and privilege enough to be given the opportunity to write the music for it :) ... not that it was really my music, it was absolutely inspired by God :) xoxoxo

  • @JenniferAnnMcCaffrey

I LOVE the music, it's so pretty! As soon as I saw the video I started looking for the name of the composer but couldn't find it. So glad you posted this, so now I know :) I would love to play this piece... Is the sheet music available anywhere, to buy, download?

  • It's like Christmas Shoes!

  • So very touching! What a wonderful lesson. It tells the story quite eloquently with no words at all!

  • This is something my little 9 year old niece would do! It's so touching! If only everyone can think like this little boy!

  • who disliked this video?

  • Wow! I felt moved and nobody even spoke! :)

  • Heber lost in a massive snowball fight. True story. :)

  • @TimblerTube lol, seriously great comment. Made me laugh.

  • Incredibly touching! Do you picture yourself doing for our Savior when you do for another person on earth? If you think of charity in this way, you will never pass up an opportunity to be charitable.

  • This is so amazing, and so touching! I am so glad I ran across this, this morning. I used it in my Sunday School Gospel Doctrine class, and it ended the lesson with an amazing power effect! Thank you, thank you!

  • i like it...

  • Thanks so much! You should do more stories like these from the prophets' or apostles' life. :)

  • this is how we were raised in our muslim family

always think of others before yourself

  • Wonderful story travis, you are good at this.

  • and how people say we Mormons are not good people ill never understand... not to sound self righteous but if only people would actually try to understand us weird Mormons they would get this kind of a message

  • Released just yesterday, when I first saw it, and it had maybe about 200 views, and no comments... now, it has jumped to 8,000 and many comments... I love these messages from the church, and I am grateful that I have the opportunity to view them, and to see others touched by their messages.

  • Mormon Messages just keep getting awesomer and awesomer. plus this helped me find out who it was who told this story, and I'm gonna use it in my talk at church tomorrow. thanks for helping me find it! :D

  • short sweet and straight to the point. The smiles show it all

  • I know this church is true...look at the lessons and positive messages of truth they teach

  • I love this video :)

  • 'this is what Charity is about. Simple but touching story. It does soften the heart as it wets the eyes.

  • It touched me! I remembered the first time I read that story of Pt Heber J Grant ...Couldn't you give him the old one? ...Of course you couldn't!

  • Even though it was just a little cartoon, it still made me cry. Wonderful Message put into this video. :)

  • wonderful

  • I have watched this movie several times with my 2 year old and each time it has brought tears to my eyes. What a beautiful story with a powerful message. Thank you for sharing.

  • You can never be too young to start being a great man

  • @MarcusWindrune You can never be too old either ;)

  • The best stories I have seen of the Spirit are the ones that don't need words to bring across that great message.

  • Incredible. Charity never faileth. What is this music? I would love to play this on the piano.

  • @Zimfrost I dont know what the music is called but I know the girl who wrote it! She is from Northern Ireland!

  • Why didn't he take the homeless boy home with him so they could feed him and take care of him? Nice video; however, I think they should have gone to the next step.

  • Beautiful animation and a beautiful story. This is the sort of material that YouTube was made for.

  • Cheers to Jenny McCaffrey who wrote the music to this

  • Thank-you. If only all of us practiced true charity there would be no room for want. Merry Christmas everybody!

  • Wow! Simplicity is really the ultimate sophistication....great message!

  • awesome

  • Animation excellence while at the same time simple and straightforward, just like the story.

  • Beautiful! I hope to be this Christ-like!

  • What a unique way to tell a story. I loved the animation... I have never seen anything like it. The music was a nice touch.

  • Beautiful message... just brought tears to my eyes.

  • @rebelinfla As with me. What a wonderful message for this time of year, or anytime of the year, for that matter.

  • I can't believe this had no words, was so simple... and still made me cry. It was that amazing.

  • @KeekeeKarin5

That is the great thing about the Holy Ghost it brings the tears of joy without saying a word!

  • it may be easy to give when we have plenty....but true charity is giving when it's hard.

  • So simple and yet so profound. What a wonderful way to teach the Gospel

  • the joy of giving

  • Oh ma good golly gosh no kid can jump under ground and come up that fast. :0 But awshum message!

  • I love the music.

  • I liked the fact that there was no dialogue - it was not needed.

  • awesome animation, awesome story, everything is awesome! =)

  • Well done video. Enjoyed everything about it.

  • I have done this and had Family tell me I was insane That I worked a Soup kitchen for seven years Until some one want to get a count of how much food we was using 6 months later We was told we have to give less food so that we could have X amount for later Then 6 months later No more can potatoes It would cost to much So i call some local farms ask if we could

a Pickup truck load The farmer said he has only One truck to move what little he had 2 tons of dirt and potatoes infront of the door

  • Simple and short with a great lesson.

  • Beautiful.

  • This story was included in the primary lesson I taught a few weeks ago. Pretty awesome.

  • Wow!

  • I love how it was animated!

  • "sniff", me too! If we could only all be a little more like this.

  • Voluntary generosity is wonderful.

  • >Voluntary generosity is wonderful.

The key word there is "voluntary." Without "voluntary," there is no "generosity." Forced charity is no charity at all, and is in direct opposition to God's plan. True (voluntary) charity, on the other hand, is, as you say, wonderful. In fact, if everybody chose to practice it, the entire world would be a place of peace and prosperity.

  • :') This is amazing.

  • No words necessary... simply brought a tear to my eye

  • Beautiful!

  • So cute! I love the animation style.

  • Moroni 7:46 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, if ye have not charity, ye are nothing, for charity never faileth. Wherefore, cleave unto charity, which is the greatest of all, for all things must fail—

  • excellent.

  • Beautiful.

  • *sniff* this is beautiful.

  • so sweet. just a few tears..
