  • "Take a step back and have an open mind" if only you agree with my point of view.

Also follow the money ,all the opposiotion is funded by a stange brew of fellows that are making money from the opposition! We are the losers they are the winners.

What contry do we live in? The elections are tainted and now the officials are running from the truth and are being prosecuted!

  • A comment on this video and a letter to the Commercial Record from Keith Charak, dated 5-19-2011 has been posted to the Commercial Record website.

To Sal and Cody: If you are reading these comments, it would be good for you to take the time to investigate the other side of this issue, keep your care for the dunes intact, but understand that there may have been other rules broken that protect all of us including yourselves.

  • ANY and all comments made by dick waskin from this point forward will be automatically removed. we do not need any unnecessary arguments, antagonizing, negativity or poor grammar on a student made project that focuses on the beauty of the saugatuck dunes.

  • What a great school project, as well as a social commentary. Great job Sal and Cody.

  • This film beautifully illuminates the importance of discouraging the separation of humanity and nature brought about by a framework of thought, an ideology of development and a domination of control.

  • well done, guys!

  • Oh so very Righteous!

  • Congrats to Sal Maicki and Cody Werme. Two talented young men who will are the pacesetters for their generation, you two will go far and accomplish great things in your lifetime, thanks for caring about the Saugatuck Dunes ecosystem, it takes courage to do what is right for mother nature. There is allot more to life than money, you've hit the nail on the had my two young friends.

  • I'm so impressed by how these filmmakers managed to bring together so many ideas and tell a story vividly, powerfully and with great care. The dunes imagery is so compelling and the editing was masterful. They obviously love this place--but then who wouldn't?

  • The laws enacted by the Saugatuck Township apply to all property owners and not just this property. Do your homework before suggesting the law and it's legality remaxsd.

  • McClendon is subject to community planning just like anyone else. Since there were laws in effect before he purchased the land it is only fair that he conforms to them as any other landowner would be obligated to do.

  • The high school kids who created this did a great job on the production but don't get good grades for content. It is a one sided video that doesn't really explain both sides of the issue. They really fail to explore the fact that the land that McClendon purchased has always been land that was privately held and developed. The basis for the current law suits is that the zoning that was enacted applies only to this property and that is illegal and a taking of a persons property rights.

  • @remaxsd we got a 98/100. so it doesn't really matter what you think of our opinion, because this is our's and this is how we chose to express it.

  • AMAZING
