  • the engine on the 1986-1988 Chevrolet Nova

    Engine

    1.6 L (98 cu in) I4 4A-GE 112 hp

    1.6 L (98 cu in) I4 4A-C 90 hp (67 kW)

  • @Annihilator1111 Thanks for the info as I Just got a 87 nova hatchback. But Iam sure they had the toyota 1.7 Engine not 1.6?

  • @jakesaintsrow123 no problem but the only info i have is that it only has a 1.6 engine and what transmission is your nova is it a 5-speed manual or 3-speed automatic or a

    4-speed automatic

  • Should have called it Geo Prizm from the start

  • @Prizm2356 Yea But The "Geo" brand didn't come out Until 89 And these came out in 1985-1988 So They Really should of just called It Chevrolet Prizm All Though I Myself Like the "nova" Name Itself More than Prizm. I Love my 1987 Nova hatchback Great cars. Great looking and Great Interiors And I Just can't get over the fact that It has a Toyota Drive-train In it, Those were super reliable engines/transmissions .Great on Gas .28 City, 44 Hwy

  • Never should've called it the Nova. I love GM and especially Chevrolet, and I'm sure it was good car, but how DARE they use the Nova nameplate on a Toyota Corolla!

  • this car should have been the beginning of Geo

  • @saturnboi24 you know it should have been called Geo Prizm the whole time

  • @Prizm2356 i agree with u on that

  • the 1986-1988 Chevrolet Nova was assembled in

    Fremont, California, United States

  • FUCK TOYOTA!! THEY RUINED THE NOVA!!!

  • It was not only North America where this hallowed GM name was plastered on Toyota Corollas - GM's Australian division Holden also did this in the late 80s and most of the 1990s... - I do think the Chevrolet front is more interesting (having a shrunken 1987 Cavalier look about it) than the Toyota offering.

  • @denim0323 Toylet Trash

  • shouldnt have called this thing a nova

  • como fue posible que Nova terminara a si después de tan grandes creaciones que tuvo en los 60s y 70s

  • Awsome it was my first car I bought.Bought in 1993 mine was an 86 model.Paid $1000 for it from a college friend. It already had 158,000 miles on it.Drove it a 100 miles a day to a community college.Sold for $1000 with 207,000 on it.Not bad.Got a written letter from next buyer about what a great car it was.Best car ever.

  • My Nova was built there in Aug of 87...best car I ever owned.

  • @chevynova87 i just got a 87 chevy nova, I Love it
