i think that the best needle for scratching is qbert.also for a kinda begginer nice needle is also concorde .Both made by Ortofon

the shure m44/7 with the 45 degree angle is tested to skip less the the q ortofon. if you use ortofon om you can twist it also 2 make it a straight angle wich makes the needle skipless..

you can't do that with the q ortofon.
