I don't know where VH1 got thier facts for segment. Thier third album "Dew Drops in the Garden" sold more then their first album which included "Groove is in the Heart." They had even bigger hits worldwide after their first album. If you listen to their tracks, it's complex but great to listen to. Ahead of thier time and a great deal of talent. Lady Kier can dance and has an amazing voice.

Deeelite's first LP is no joke. It is a unbelievably tight album. The album is one of the best thing that came out from NY club scene; multi-cultural, hip hop, house and funk music are beautifully integrated into one album. I believe this is the only album ever to list drag queens and hip hip artists in the same thanks-list!

MTV premiered the groove is in the heart video in Jan 1990. at the time it made me think, wow we're heading into the 90's the future. the 80's are over. this is different and from then on. this track set the tone for that whole techno 90's thing to come.
