I'm happy that Kofi is helping Africa and working on human rights at the grassroots level. Being S-G at the UN must have made him realize that change and progress happens more effectively at the lower levels when you have direct contact with the people and some of the red tape can be overlooked.

I respect Kofi for staying involved. It takes a strong individual to maintain the energy to continue to work on such humanitarian initiatives after his exhausting work term at the UN.
