That is the very courageous Petra Majdic. She won a bronze medal with broken ribs and a punctured lung. The video shows her crashing off course. I believe they are considering giving her a Pierre de Coubertin medal.

I'm not even into sports or.. OMG I'm guna get shot... Hockey.. BUT BUT BUT...I DID watch pretty much all of the Olympics and, of course, the Sydney Crosby game ( I mean, the dude is from my hometown Lol--I could walk to his old house) and at 'the' moment, I celebrated loud and proud with the rest of Canada :D!!! I agree, for those few weeks, Canada was filled with pure joy..we let our patriotism show and I will never ever forget it. If ever country was as one..it was then :)!!!

as a wings fan, i agree. that bastard made us lose the second year - along with hossa curse. anyone that didn't shed tears of joy just don't get it. What this takes, the commitment, the passion, the pride and determination is second to none. Sport teaches these qualities. If everyone had these qualities the world would be at peace. Most people probably bitched during the anthem and said I want the news to start to see who's dying senselessly overseas.
