  • Quick question just to make sure...Does the bigsby fit in the existing 3 holes?

  • No. I used 3 wood screws .

    I y was painless .

  • Thanks, I'll get the wood screws. So if I understand correctly, you did not need to drill any new holes?

  • I'm pretty sure I only used screws to secure the tail piece to the side where the strap guard is... the string pressure keeps the

    trem on the guitar.

  • Just played a Gretsch with a Bigsby at Guitar Center...I usually play metal and rock, but I dig the Bigsby I really do! I might install one later in the future...

And nice guitar! The Bigsby completes it!

  • Sounds sweet! Can't wait to start fitting my own bigsby!

  • Hey,my friend, nice guitar.I want to buy an Epiphone short chrome tremolo for my Greg Bennett Samick Archtop guitar. The guy in the music store told me that it has 3 pieces.Could you tell me how many pieces has your Bigsby?

  • It is all 1 piece.

  • Hey a few questions! Is that the B6 or the B7 Bigsby? You mentioned the B7 which Bigsby mentions is for Solid body electrics. Also were there no drilling required on the top of the guitar? How has the intonation been since you added the Bigsby? Is it staying in tune?

  • The original Youtube poster put on a thin line, I don't recall what they used .. or me ! or feel like looking it up. Intonation is the same as long as you align the bridge in the same spot. switched to heavier gauge strings (11) because it really adds a booming tone to it. It took 3 small screws onthe surface and maybe a couple where the strap is.

  • I have the exact same guitar.

Any input on adding the bigsby?

Is it OK with the ebony bridge?

Is there an exact bigsby model to use?

    Thanks

  • It was easy -- took 5 minutes, 4 of those

were worrying if i frick it up.

    The bigsby is simply held

on the guitar with 3 small screws

and the end ( where the strap pin is at),

and the string pressure pretty much secures

    it to the guitar.

The arch top bigsby are B7's .

Only annoying part is the ebony *still* falls off when you change strings us a scratch mark to locate for intonation. There is plenty of wiggle room with so the strings are aligned over the fret board and pickups.

  • Neat
