@queione $300 ? wow, I am not getting on your case about that as it is your money to spend how you please, but I got a Beagle German Shepherd mix that is the sweetest most loving dog in the world with all the good traits from both breeds and none of the bad from the SPCA. I only paid $45 for her but she is a million times more valued and loved by me. Sometimes we can find the best friends in the world from the strangest places. SUPPORT THE SPCA, your best friend could be there right now!!!

Purebreds, I expect, would be more costly than a mix. Also, it is rare to find such a young purebred pup at the SPCA that would go for $45. I agree that adopting a pet is wonderful but this person paid for those additional perks. And, from a few days of research, it is rather difficult to find a dog for less than $100 at adoption shelters whether it is purebred or not. Our local SPCA is a piece of shit but thankfully we have many alternatives.

Too freakin' cute! I love little puppies like that! My little 7-year old cousin had a little Chihuahua puppy, but it died. It cought the "dog flu" (the equivalent of a human flu) last summer and it died. It was really sweet. I hope your dog is doing well!

Yeah, it was sad. She has two other dogs: a Border Collie and a German Shepard. Yeah, I like Calamari too! But yeah, I love pets. Sad thing is, where we live now isn't the best place for a pet, so we don't have one... But I get to see lots of animals!

Well, I recommend getting them as a puppy because in that way the owners/family trains the puppy. Emerson is very playful and loyal and those are the traits of the breed. Potty training is stressful and messy at first, but he is almost 6 months now and he is 75% housebroken as he has occassional "accidents." Tell your mom you want a furry friend, and maybe that will help since you sound like you really want a pet! I hope you get one soon! :)

be sure!!! to gret them as a puppy because if you buy them full grown from the owners. then they will be a piss off to you and they will be attached to their owners and growl all the time trust me from first-hand expirience

I had a dachshund once her name was shorty but we couldn't keep her so we gave her to a trusted family friend....she still comes to visit my family every so often!!! The best dogs alive in my opinion!
