Well they botched the finish twice. The superkick seems to be what was supposed to finish it the 1st time but HBK was too far away and he didnt grab the title when he jumped. So they calmly improvised and you get Ramon going over the top. But then HBK tried again to get the title and it wouldnt unhook. xD He was so pissed.

This is how you do a ladder match. It doesn't have to be all about ridiculous ladder spots. See how much more credible and suspenseful this is, versus today's ladder matches where everything is just one ridiculous multi-ladder spot after another? Don't get me wrong. Those spots are impressive and take talent and a lot of hard work. But they lack the artistry that something more minimal, physical, and psychological can create imo.

Heh Shawn was truly pissed off at 0:15 cause he was supposed to finish the match right there and he had to put the ladder back in position again, forcing Ramon to stay down for an unrealistic time. Of course this wasn't Michaels fault; he was in the heat of the moment. This match was very important for him. Professionally it meant a lot even if he obviously knew he would get the title way before the beginning of the match. Good job on both sides. Scott Hall was also very good!
