@ShinzuiUindo not really, but I'm not even sure how good these videos are anymore. A few months after I finished the series, Maxis went and redid the routines that determine how creatures walk.
the creature creator only lets you record in test mode. to record in other modes you need a program like Camtasia (or others) which I'm not going to purchase just to do these tutorials, sorry.
I can see your point. The problem I have seen with amny of the bipedal designs on the Spore Creature Creator is that the creatures bodies are far too straight.
yeah, Bird Brain in this video is a bit too rigid as well. I adjusted his elbow and wrist position (nothing else) before posting him as a creatortip creature on Sporepedia and he moves much better now
not exactly. the Spore animations don't mimic nature quite right, and WIll specified that they're using shortcuts as well. SO what I'm doing is taking a bit of what I know of anatomy and physics and how Spore animates things and working out a balance between them that allows Spore to render the walk cycle realistically
You've got to share how you can add actually selectable text balloons and frames like that. Looks like something Youtube provides, but this is a first for me.
This is a really useful video! I can't play Spore atm, but might arm sculpting interfiere with the creature's walk?

Yeah, show how it's made in the actual creation mode rather than the test-run mode.

There should be some free software in some corner of the web, but I see your point.

I see what you mean. Human backs are bent and we posses a slight hunch in our posture. Could you post a video of Bird Brian mk.2?
R055HP 3 years ago
Very nice. Basically you try and recreate the human anatomy right?

Impressive. Really shows how fine-tuned human walking gait is. Good job!

It's the annotation feature found in the Video section of your account. :)
I only just discovered it this weekend myself :D

Nice job on the video and figuring out the "hidden joint" trick, but you should show how the hidden joint is done if you can.
