  • you are so cool man!

  • my hands are too small... :C

  • I lookin through all your video...

  • That's the first double lift I learnt, really great lift, also I'd like to say I like your shuffles! Could you do a video on that? Thx and keep them flowing, it's all about practice and more practice. Great tutorial

  • This is not the cleanest. I just turn it over without the twirl (which looks unnatural).

  • i had to turn my laptop upside down to figure that out...

  • 6/5 :D

  • HEY BERT!

  • gimme a tutorial on that shuffle it looks epic

  • @qnoobcakep if it's the one handed shuffle, I have a tutorial for it, just gotta search

  • gimme a tutorial on that shuffle it looks epic

  • Awesome videos, I just subbed because you still reply to comments even on a 2 year old video. That's cool man. Also although I'm only a beginner I think this is the best double lift I've tried. I even find it easier to do than others.

  • Does anyone think it'd be smart to try and teach myself to pick up one card with this push off move? Like so when I do the double lift it looks more realistic?

  • @axelilc777 I think that's wise, I learned how to do it that way, but I didn't rely to heavily on it.

  • ray romano mutherfucker

  • THANK YOU

  • why is every david blain double lift tutorial performed with left handed people? i find it hard to relate when im right handed

  • @leedshero hes right handed, or at least im right handed and i do it this way but go to the 1 by cardtrickteacher he does it w/ the other hand

  • This helped a lot. Thank you :)

  • How many redbulls did you took before this video...? HYPER-TURBO...!

  • I looks better if when you turn the cards back over you let them fall onto the pack

instead of turning ur other hand towards the cards

  • nice double lift

  • Very good tutorial and very good technique! Thank you guy

  • the push-off double lift is the only thing i can do better then you i think. and ive been doing magic for only 4 months

  • haha a 10min video on the double-lift. overall nice tho :)

  • best double lift video i ever seen in my life =]]

  • your awesome dude, nice magic.

  • u r the man

  • actually no disrespect but i find your techique unnatural and is a clear telegraph that you are doubling. for flawless techique read bro. john hamman's book, the secrets of bro. john hamman. nice snap change however.

  • OMG THANK YOU!!!! No one else tells you to square it off with your middle finger when you push off! Best How-to video so far!

  • keeps jumping thats crazy cool sound xD

  • Please film instructional videos like this from the magician's perspective. It's very difficult to follow what you're doing when your hands are facing the wrong direction. It's nice to see a once-through from the audience perspective, but the rest of the video should be shot from the magician's perspective (and without the camera going back and forth from one perspective to another all the time). Thanks!

  • amazing video man. i literally watched this a couple hours ago and have already developed a brand new (well modified) trick which takes advantage of this amazingly subtle lift. and it doesn't matter if i accidentally lift 3 cards as i'm not great at this lift yet. thanks for the post

  • How noticable would it be to count off the cards instead of looking for the two cards?

  • why do u have to give a tutorial for a double lift?????? If somebody has to look up a tutorial on how to double lift, they are NOT talented.

  • @xXTwIsTeDxAcEXx so someone who can't do a double lift is NOT talented? We are LEARNING a new skill! Besides, if you don't need to learn the double lift, then why are you here? hmm...

  • @saderguy cuz i was seeing if this was gonna be a crappy video. How hard is it to learn a double lift. catch a break, flip over casually. and the people who say you cant do it with a break just mess it up. i do it all the time to people and its perfect.

  • @xXTwIsTeDxAcEXx there are more ways than one to do a double lift. And people are probably just being nice to you because you're 14 and don't want to call you out on your flaws.

  • @xXTwIsTeDxAcEXx there are more ways than one to do a double lift. And people are probably just being nice to you because you're 14 and they don't want to call you out on your flaws. Your hands can barely hold a pack of cards, I would give you the benefit of the doubt if I were to watch you in person too.

  • @xXTwIsTeDxAcEXx Yes, you are right, doing a double lift with a break is easy (and i don't really see a problem with it), but these people are here to learn how to do it WITHOUT a break. This video isn't even teaching the double lift the way you do it, so maybe you could learn something!

  • That thing about breaking your wrist to turn the card over. That's the thing I see that I most hate about people doing the DL. It's a common error I think for beginners. You don't have to do that. You can just push it with your finger and let gravity work it's magic.

  • Dude, this is David Blaine's Double Lift. Why are you calling it yours?

  • @everythingstupified yes it is, but he does it so well, i didn't mind :)

  • It doesn't belong to any particular person. He is merely asserting that it is the one he employs in his magic.

  • i think this one isnt too natural, soorry, becuz its sorta a florish. what i would do is to give the deck to a non magician and study how they lift up a single card. then form a double lift that look as close as possible to their style. theres another push off duble lift where u push off 2 cards w/ ur thumb and then pick it up from the side. tri to find it on u2be. overal this is good but theres better

  • thanks this video helped

  • woah...your voice is almost similar to raymond from everybody love raymond

  • are you a lefty or is it usual to hold the deck in the left hand? because i`m a righty and hold the deck in my right hand, feels more comfortable to me somehow.

  • @MagicPancake me too. I am a righty but do tricks and flourishes like a lefty should. I guess it is just preference.

  • i've get a better one;)

  • that is the best double lift i have ever seen

    it's perfect

    thx for the tutorial

  • @Ronnie9P i wouldn't say perfect, lifting three instead of two could be a major problem in the middle of the trick

  • @saderguy you could just flip the three cards over and say you accidentally picked up two cards... then do your double lift again, not that major of a problem.

  • @howtoDisturbReality that's true

  • please explain how MarkHilkemeijer does the doublelifts

  • Best double lifting!!

  • David Blaine uses this double lift so im guessing is the best

  • Aaron Fisher from Ellusionist lifts one card and shows it to everyone in your "UNNATURAL" way, yet he's paid and prefers to do it this way.

By the way, you showed a double turnover, not a double lift. The lift is your "Unnatural-looking" thing.

  • it would be so awsome if you knew what you were talking about, wouldn't it?

  • a great video

     #

    ööööööö

  • not even close to the cleanest looking double lift, diving board double by lee asher is. :)

  • i finally thought i had done a really good convincing double lit, but realised i only had one card arrrgghhh

  • i always grab like 5 cards instead of 2

  • dude, you have incredibly skillful hands

  • That's a good double lift, how do you do the bit at 1:07 though?

  • It's a snap change, search for it in my tutorials, it's called the Snap Change.

  • It may sound weird but your voice makes me thirsty.

  • I like this

  • this was very helpful

i find the turning bit unaccurate when i do it.. they spread so ive been using the standard push off... when i flip the cards over i catch them with my thumb to evel them.. whats ur opinion on that tecnique.. to me it looks alright and it help them stay level from the flip... thanks heaps

  • :( everytime i do this lift i always pick up 3 or more cards instead of 2

  • try catching a break by riffling the cards first and stopping right when you get to two cards makes sure to make it look natural

  • nice double lift!

  • I don't have small hands but find the PUDL difficult because I always have a problem anchoring the bottom left of the pack so that when I do the first swivel, the 2 cards come up against the fleshy base of my thumb. My mechanics grip is normally a bit higher so that I can lay my first finger across the diagonal of the top of the pack and if I lower the pack in my grip I can swivel OK but then have to move the whole pack forwards so that my Thumb and 1st finger can do the 2nd swivel. Any ideas?

  • It's Great! you rock but I love mismag822,too!

  • Wow that looks really smooth - I'll keep learning it doing like this =)

  • Just Awesome, Nothing but Awesome and Smooth as Silk! Great Job!!!

  • nice handlings mate but slow it down a bit, let us absorb your magic

  • hey it not ur double lift i have seen this way before this ... so come on you can't say its your and i am guessing you know it your self .... also you are telling the world how you do someone else's tricks to get a couple of views on youtube is it worth it or would you raver be able to TRICK people which you are spoiling

  • he never said he created it. There's many kind of double lifts like he said , And he "uses" this type of DL , "the Push Off DL", not the others ....

  • hey man im gonna really practice this, double lift is a key element in magic, and by the way you do it so clean!

  • thank you so much REALLY

  • Yr hands are really big

  • uhh nice tutorial but it's almost the exact same as brad christian's from crash course 2.

  • yeah, i never bought the dvd but figured out this move. you no, some people are just ignorant like THIS GUY HERE who thinks he created the move

  • Actually my friend, you are the ignorant one. Nowhere in this video or it's information pane for that matter does he state he thinks he created.

"you no , some people are just ignorant like THIS GUY HERE who thinks he created the move." <-- What's wrong with this sentence?

  • wat kind of cards are those i no there bicycle but they look different

  • BOOM..!!

  • are you still planning to put up your version of the ambitious card trick?

  • thanks, this is great.

  • awesome mate you have saved my life with this video!!!

  • how long did it take you to get good at it

  • 3-5 weeks to get 'good' like 6-12 weeks to do it pretty flawlessly each time, it takes practice, all this stuff does

  • Problem is I often pick up three cards :/

  • yeap me 2

  • Gotta keep your eye on the cards, you can visually see where the two cards are... and if you pick up three, just say "oops, picked up two" then when you pick up two, it actually looks more like you picked up one

  • @howtoDisturbReality looks bad if u gotta see the cards, it doesnt seems natural, normal people doesnt need to star at the deck to take one card, and we gotta make it as natural as we can xD i'd prefer to feel the to cards, you can actually feel the corners and notice how many cards are there .P

  • actually it's the dealers grip, when your index finger is stretched across the short side :p 1:13

  • no its the opposite, dealer's grip is when the index finger is on the side he is using mechanic's

  • Just youtube search mechanic's grip you'll see this guy is right

  • the pinky should be on the short side of the deck closest to you.

  • Dang that was a good ass snap change at 1:07

  • absolutely O_O flawless! thanks for the yet again great tutorial and btw thx for your comment on my channel, had no time to reply yet but thanks for the offer! keep up the great work

  • Which deck do you use? It seems to be a regular rider back but the red pips on faces are like a ghost deck.

  • Nah man, just regular Bicycle Rider back

  • which one is the first

  • your great at tutorials I mean 9:49 for a double lift tutorial?? that just shows how detailed ur tutorials are!

  • I honestly thought it would be a 2 or 3 part tutorial, so I'm glad just this one video seems to be helping everyone a lot.

  • I really liked this one!

  • Great tutorial, well explained. Thanks.

  • Great Thank you

  • Watch kammagic's double lift, i do as him, without breaks, and a normal flip over thing

    Good vid btw

  • Kammagic is a great with card magic. Maybe the best on youtube, but his double lift is second best to this one, no question about it. I'm not talking execution, I'm talking method. Kam executes his DL so well it hardly matters, but this is the definitive push off DL, and THE most natural looking.

  • Thank you soooooo much!!

  • thanks for the tips
