That's the first double lift I learnt, really great lift, also I'd like to say I like your shuffles! Could you do a video on that? Thx and keep them flowing, it's all about practice and more practice. Great tutorial
Awesome videos, I just subbed because you still reply to comments even on a 2 year old video. That's cool man. Also although I'm only a beginner I think this is the best double lift I've tried. I even find it easier to do than others.
Does anyone think it'd be smart to try and teach myself to pick up one card with this push off move? Like so when I do the double lift it looks more realistic?
actually no disrespect but i find your techique unnatural and is a clear telegraph that you are doubling. for flawless techique read bro. john hamman's book, the secrets of bro. john hamman. nice snap change however.
Please film instructional videos like this from the magician's perspective. It's very difficult to follow what you're doing when your hands are facing the wrong direction. It's nice to see a once-through from the audience perspective, but the rest of the video should be shot from the magician's perspective (and without the camera going back and forth from one perspective to another all the time). Thanks!
amazing video man. i literally watched this a couple hours ago and have already developed a brand new (well modified) trick which takes advantage of this amazingly subtle lift. and it doesn't matter if i accidentally lift 3 cards as i'm not great at this lift yet. thanks for the post
@xXTwIsTeDxAcEXx so someone who can't do a double lift is NOT talented? We are LEARNING a new skill! Besides, if you don't need to learn the double lift, then why are you here? hmm...
@saderguy cuz i was seeing if this was gonna be a crappy video. How hard is it to learn a double lift. catch a break, flip over casually. and the people who say you cant do it with a break just mess it up. i do it all the time to people and its perfect.
@xXTwIsTeDxAcEXx there are more ways than one to do a double lift. And people are probably just being nice to you because you're 14 and don't want to call you out on your flaws.
@xXTwIsTeDxAcEXx there are more ways than one to do a double lift. And people are probably just being nice to you because you're 14 and they don't want to call you out on your flaws. Your hands can barely hold a pack of cards, I would give you the benefit of the doubt if I were to watch you in person too.
@xXTwIsTeDxAcEXx Yes, you are right, doing a double lift with a break is easy (and i don't really see a problem with it), but these people are here to learn how to do it WITHOUT a break. This video isn't even teaching the double lift the way you do it, so maybe you could learn something!
That thing about breaking your wrist to turn the card over. That's the thing I see that I most hate about people doing the DL. It's a common error I think for beginners. You don't have to do that. You can just push it with your finger and let gravity work it's magic.
i think this one isnt too natural, soorry, becuz its sorta a florish. what i would do is to give the deck to a non magician and study how they lift up a single card. then form a double lift that look as close as possible to their style. theres another push off duble lift where u push off 2 cards w/ ur thumb and then pick it up from the side. tri to find it on u2be. overal this is good but theres better
are you a lefty or is it usual to hold the deck in the left hand? because i`m a righty and hold the deck in my right hand, feels more comfortable to me somehow.
@saderguy you could just flip the three cards over and say you accidentally picked up two cards... then do your double lift again, not that major of a problem.
i find the turning bit unaccurate when i do it.. they spread so ive been using the standard push off... when i flip the cards over i catch them with my thumb to evel them.. whats ur opinion on that tecnique.. to me it looks alright and it help them stay level from the flip... thanks heaps
I don't have small hands but find the PUDL difficult because I always have a problem anchoring the bottom left of the pack so that when I do the first swivel, the 2 cards come up against the fleshy base of my thumb. My mechanics grip is normally a bit higher so that I can lay my first finger across the diagonal of the top of the pack and if I lower the pack in my grip I can swivel OK but then have to move the whole pack forwards so that my Thumb and 1st finger can do the 2nd swivel. Any ideas?

hey it not ur double lift i have seen this way before this ... so come on you can't say its your and i am guessing you know it your self .... also you are telling the world how you do someone else's tricks to get a couple of views on youtube is it worth it or would you raver be able to TRICK people which you are spoiling
Gotta keep your eye on the cards, you can visually see where the two cards are... and if you pick up three, just say "oops, picked up two" then when you pick up two, it actually looks more like you picked up one
@howtoDisturbReality looks bad if u gotta see the cards, it doesnt seems natural, normal people doesnt need to star at the deck to take one card, and we gotta make it as natural as we can xD i'd prefer to feel the to cards, you can actually feel the corners and notice how many cards are there .P
absolutely O_O flawless! thanks for the yet again great tutorial and btw thx for your comment on my channel, had no time to reply yet but thanks for the offer! keep up the great work

Aaron Fisher from Ellusionist lifts one card and shows it to everyone in your "UNNATURAL" way, yet he's paid and prefers to do it this way.
By the way, you showed a double turnover, not a double lift. The lift is your "Unnatural-looking" thing.
