He is one of the greatest, but if he never gets as many major titles as Federer than he won't be considered as good as him. And if the olympics were held yearly, you can bet that Federer would have won more of those than nadal would have. Atp finals are pretty important if you want a good ranking considering they are 1500 points. Nadal hasn't won because he is awful indoors.

@bdgregorybd You know very little of tennis, Nadal has the best passing shots of all time and that is not what a pusher does. Nadal also has wicked angle shots that count for winners because of the awesome spin he puts on the ball. His touch is also just as good as everyone elses. Djokovic just likes to tee off with his ugly looking slap shots (as Federer calls them) on nadals spin, which is sad, but oh well.

If that was true, he would not be ranked number for a while and have won as many tournaments, which means you know little of tennis, or you like arguing a losing arguement. Nadal has by far some of the most impressive passing shots I have seen, and hits plenty of winners.

@kelman221 I dislike his style, there. There is no denying the results you don't win 10 majors by accident. I appreciate his dogged determination and spirit and heart, but his forehand was developed for high percentage top spin and yes he has nice passing shots, but so do most players of this day and age. Don't you hear people on tennis channel say how players like having a target, I'm the same way. I could hit a shot if someone is at net easier versus them at the baseline its psychology.

And personaly I dont know what is wrong with hitting a high percentage topsipn, it is a good tactic that works, except against Djokovic's slap shots, which used to not be a problem until the past year. @kelman221 I agree, when I watch Federer play Nadal, I see him try to approach nadal's forehand and 99% of the time Nadal wins with a passing shot from 15 ft. behind the baseline. It annoys me that Fed plays so well against anybody but Nadal and never uses his head playing him. I started playing tennis when Fed was at his prime in 2006 and was rooting for him to try and do what laver did, which is why he and agassi are my favorites therefore I relate to him the most. I still like Nadal.

@bdgregorybd I could be wrong, but I think Naldandian and another player or two have winning roceords over Federer as well. I think his winning so many majors is almost based just as much on situational and circumstancial influences as well as his skill, but do not take this the wrong way. Federer deserves all the wins who and achievements he has. Now he isn't being as successful as he used to and he seems kind of grouchy after matches now :).
@kelman221 yeah, nalby, murray, nadal all have winning records and I see what you mean by circumstance. For example, when Nadal wasn't in wimbledon 2009 Fed beat everybody handily except Roddick of course. But the game being more physical is harder on Fed now that he is older so I would just like to see him win one more. But I wish all luck to the other players including nadal.

I wonder how sad it must be for Nadal to see his fans behaving like this. He played a good match and any player would have struggled against him. The game of tennis has a lot of ups and downs. You can't throw a player away based on a single match or two on a single surface.

Yeah agree. The matches between Nadal and Djokovic were very close in Miami and Indian Wells. I don't remember if it was Miami or IW where Nadal lead in the 3rd set with 5-6 and he was 15-30 on the serve of Djokovic. Only 2 points lost of the victory. So close it was. What would have happened when Nadal would have won the match. Maybe Nadal was the unbeaten player this year. We don;t know.
The only thing we know is that Djokovic played an amazing year and was the best.

Both Rafael and Roger are highly respected people, they have both different styles and there each the best of their own type. In my opinion Rafael Nadal is better, but this is my opinion, but everyone has their own opinion.

Yeah agree. The matches between Nadal and Djokovic were very close in Miami and Indian Wells. I don't remember if it was Miami or IW where Nadal lead in the 3rd set with 5-6 and he was 15-30 on the serve of Djokovic. Only 2 points lost of the victory. So close it was. What would have happened when Nadal would have won the match. Maybe Nadal was the unbeaten player this year. We don;t know.
The only thing we know is that Djokovic played an amazing year and was the best.

I am a very big fan of Federer and I was very disappointed three years ago when he scored only four games in this match, but now, when I see this video, I can only agree that Nadal just played perfectly, nothing was wrong with his game, every time Federer went to the net, Nadal made a brilliant passing shot from another space, he just played the perfect match, and we can say nothing against that.
