@alejonsu Yes, it went south. Markets never go north forever, they fluctuate. It may take a few years, but L.A. will start appreciating again. In the meantime, you can still buy. Make sure you buy cashflow properties, Class C. Stay out of Class B until you see appreciation coming back.

your calculation is incorrect because you have to subtract the mortgage amount before you calculate your annual return.
