Singer Pete Doherty has appeared in court charged with possessing cocaine.
The Babyshambles star was charged following an inquiry into the death of filmmaker Robin Whitehead, 27, found dead in a flat in Hackney in January.
Peter Wolfe, 42, of Maidstone, faces two counts of cocaine possession and one count of supplying the drug. The case was adjourned until 14 January.
Ms Whitehead, a member of the wealthy Goldsmith family, had been making a documentary about the musician when she died.

if a smackhead like this can keep reofending and not sort his life out it's because the deterrant is not strong engouh to make him change his life. He's been caught driving under the inflluence now and likely will get a lower sentance due to being able to afford the best lawyer - that is injustice imo and then he will be released to do it all again in a few months time.
the law needs to get a grip and jail him for 7 years for smack possesion

If he is in jail though, I cant attend his concerts. Anyways he is hardly the worst. Who was the footballer that slammed into the back of a family, hammered, killed two kids and got 3 years. Lets get some perspective here. Plus Paul Mcartney gets caught taking drugs in Japan, and everyone feels sorry for him. What the hell ????

i don;t think Sir Paul is a chronic junky like Doherty. If he is then at least he keeps it on the low-down and is flouting the law elsewhere - not repeatedly on his home turf.
Also, Doherty has a choice everytime he chases the dragon or bangs up - i'm pretty sure that footballer did / does not consciously decide to go kill some people in his landrover.

I dont think it matters how or where you take drugs. A druggy is a druggy, and Peter is so much more than a drug addict.
The footballer I referred to made a conscious decision to get in his car, knowing full well their were risks involved. If you could explain to me how Peter is harming anyone with his addictions, that would be good of you.
Its not like Peter steals for his addictions, and he gets caught. Their are druggys that repeatedly offend, but rarely get caught.
