We have a similar O-Bahn system close by in Essen in use since 1980, 6 years before Adelaide. It is working quite well and the City of Essen just had ordered new vehicles, so there will be a future.
But the countryside down under, you show in your film, is nicer.
Many British guided busways were built on the basis of being public highway 'improvement works' which created traffic lanes on which a 'buses only' restriction had been placed. This was seen as a dodge around government investment regulations which designed to make 'fixed track' transports (especially trams) extremely expensive.
Because people will switch to trams, causing a reduced income from motoring fuel taxes our treasury is vehemently 'anti-tram' (and trolleybus).
Who the treasury? Probably not. Anyway, they know more about whats going on than the public - and the causes. Whats coming happens approx. every 13000 years, the Georgia Guidestones are for afterwards. Note the target population figure. Have you see the David Icke / Jesse Ventura film 'The End Game' here on youtube? Google is your friend here.

Yes, the Essen O-Bahn is in this video too.
Stage 1 - alongside Fulerumer Strasse and in the middle of the road in Wickenburgerstrasse.
Stage 2 - Wittenbergstrasse in the Stadwald (city forest)
Stage 3 - the A430 ‘Ruhrschnellweg‘ Krayer Strecke urban motorway (and Wasserturm stop added later)
Stage 4 / 5 - underground through several stations shared with trams.
The new buses are low floor 2.55m wide Mercedes / Citaro 'Facelift' ordered in 2007?
Or are there even more?

I can't believe the courts ruled the o-bahn a road and limited the speed at which they could travel.

@citytransportinfo So are you trying to say that they don't give a damn about the environment?
