There are six or seven allegorical references to dragons in the original texts, but there are actually two which survive translation. They're no more prescriptive laws to be used in a court than our man-made laws of "do not kill" are descriptive laws that people don't commit murder (they obviously do at times).

As a christian myself, I do not believe the bible to be scientifically accurate. Take the ten plagues for example. As far as I know, science has claimed that these ten plagues (happening all in a short time-frame) is impossible. Thus supporting the belief that these plagues (if real), were reaults of a miracle. Which is what christians believe. If science were to prove the possibility of this miracle to have accured, then the bible would be scientifically accurate after all...wouldn't it?

I assume you are refering to Heru (offten mistaken for the Greek Horus) the Egyptian god. Yeah, he was the god of the sun and sky if i remember. He may have also been the god of war as well. I do know Ramesses II (believed to be the pharaoh of the Exodus) saw Heru as the most powerful god and most important untill his death. His tomb has no acknowledgement of the god Heru.

Horus (Heru) was never crucified. There's a story in which he is killed by Set and is cast in pieces into the water, then later fished out by a crocodile at Isis' request. This story is the only one in which he dies at all. I have just spent the last three hours in my university library and could not find one encyclopedia nor book that claimed Horus was crucified.

Granted, you can say that the evidence isn't proving the bible wrong and those parts of the bible are just "stories" not meant to be taken literally. Genesis is false, that clearly is not how the world was created. So now more and more Christians view Genesis as a "story" instead of literal.

I'm afraid as prepared as I am to rag on xtian mythology, this trailer seems too far to the anti-believing forces. It's appealling more to emotion than to fact, though like Michael Moore it uses facts to make that appeal. Nice idea, but the trailer doesn't inspire me to view it.

Even though this film doesn't address in more complete terms the arguments it presents at least it FINALLY gets the ball rolling on this LONG overdue subject! I've got a copy of this video and haven't gotten tired of it yet, having seen it at least 50 times! Thanks for posting this trailer here! :)
