  • PT 2 The Cathars, who formed more than a third of the population of southern France, in the 13th century, had to pay with their lives for incorporating into their Christian belief, the presence in this world of two powers, of good and evil, an rcho of the dualist teachings of Zarathustra. Paul Kriwaczek goes on to trace similar beliefs in Europe of that time, where, further east, in Bulgaria, the Bogomils (God -Bogo-Persian Baga, mils-lovers :lovers of God) held similar dualistic beliefs

  • PT.1 One must read Paul Kriwaczek "In Search of Zarhthustra." In this brilliant book he retraces events places and beliefs that echo the teachings of this ancient Iranian prophet Zarathustra, Zoroaster to the Greeks.

In chapter 2 of this book, Paul talks of the Cathars of France, who, in the 13 century AD, were ruthlessly persecuted, brutally murdered and burnt alive in large numbers untill they were literary wiped off the face of the Earth. They had to pay with their lives for their heresy.
