You play very well, but my ear never lies, the treble end sounds off key. It may be that its not a 480p vid (which is when sound quality starts to matter to youtube, check out some music which has 360p, 480p, and 720p, the sound gets SOOOOO much better)

Yeah I know, but the title says "Rainbow Road Medley", which would make people think that it would contain every version of the Rainbow Road theme in the Mario Kart series. I know the SNES Rainbow Road theme very well, and the description for this video claims that it's in there as well, but I never heard it at any point.

You come up with a skelenton first. You generally don't learn chords first, you learn single notes. Then you add chords because the chord is the same key as the note.

The chords I use for the 3,2,1 countdown are simply G G G G with both hands playing G then the 5th, D and then the octave G, above. so the 1's and 5's.

The last G chord is simply two octaves higher. Hope you find this useful!

there is no better way to learn to play by ear than.. to start playing by ear!

just take a simple melody and try to find the right notes on your instrument.. repeat.. when you can find the melody the next step is to find the chords (or more simple the bass notes). You can hear them too if you just try.

You can also build up chords after you find the bass notes.. this might be the easiest way if you dont have the knowledge of music theory (f. ex. I know the most common orders of chords used in like all songs)

truthfully, people say only certain people can play by ear, but thats not true at all! I was just given the ability to play by ear, but you can learn by listening to a song you want to learn a lot... and slowly go through it by pausing the song every 5 seconds and getting it down! Narriz knows what he's talking about so listen to him lol =P

1 thing that can help you practice is to press random keys on an in-tune piano without loking and try to gess what note it is. and the myth that only some peple can play by ear is totaly not true it can take a while but just keep trying and you'll get it. another thing peple will do is use the first note of asong you know well as a reference. it's easier to explain with an example: I, a nintendo nerd, think of the first note of the Song of Time whenever I hear an A note.
