  • Great video! I love your art...and I enjoy the way you take the time to explain each step in detail and not rush through it. I would like to know what brand of white gel pen you use...some are not that great on writing on top of paint. Thanks so much...Jo

  • @murmaid3 My absolute hands down favorite is a Uniball Signo White Gel Pen!

  • If I get something in my journal and want to remove it and mount it, what do you recommend?I won't be able to frame. I was thinking of mounting on foam core but with what adhesive and what overcoat? I hope you can help

  • @jamurbanek I would spray the page with a matte finish sealer and then you can mount it in several different ways depending on what you think will work best. You can buy foam core or mat board with an adhesive side that you can mount the page to. Or you could use gel medium to adhere it, or even double backed tape. There are archival quality double sided tapes in the scrapbook section of most craft stores.

  • I'm glad you mentioned the copyright. I think you're a wonderful teacher and artist.

  • Pam, you are the bomb sister, I LOVE your art! Thank you for sharing your process, I look forward to doing more mixed media collage and art journaling in my future.

  • I'm just starting Week 1 of the Visual Journaling Workshop on the Strathmore site, so seeing the type of thing we'll be working towards is very inspirational. Thank you for this, Pam.

  • I notice that a lot of people prep the journals with Gesso. However you did not, is this because the Strathmore Art Journals do not require prep with Gesso?

  • @sassysasha27 I would prep them with gesso if the pages are too flimsy or don't accept paint well. The Strathmore journals don't require it IMO so I don't prep them. It makes your pages/journal very heavy adding that extra layer of gesso. It's really a personal preference and totally dependent on what type of paper you're working with.

  • @mynuala Have fun with it!!

  • Wonderful journal page. I enjoyed seeing you create this very much:-) TFS

  • @RachO113 thank you for stopping by and taking time to comment! Much appreciated:-)
