  • 30 people have NO track of their tears.. :D

  • Love this song, one of my all time favorites. It makes me think of "Platoon" every time I hear it, a movie that I feel changed my life and altered my way of thinking.

  • @MrPuros yeah was a heart breaking film but true to the core

  • PLATOON!

  • People used to say......I look like Smokey. I should be so lucky

  • @srercrcr yeh but they meant smokey from friday

  • We're an independent label trying to make it in this game and the best way to do that is by being more known on youtube. One of the ways we stand out is we help unsigned artists get more fans by uploading their songs for a new fan base

You can change our future with one simple click.

Please thumbs up so other people can see this and check out our channel and comment with feedback if you like, also if you think we could improve.

If you like check the other artists we have over 90 vids up!

    Cheers!

  • I dont think people realize how hard it is to sing this song! Its not for your average artist, Smokey hits the notes like no other. Smokey Robinson=LEGEND!

  • One of my favorite songs!

  • Great song, but live? Where's the mics?

  • @MissSweatyknickers They're so amazing they have built-in honey-covered throat amplifiers.

  • "You don't know whatcha got till its gone".

This is when music was pure, sung with heart & soul...

  • this song makes me sad....... anyone wanna be my friend?

  • great song ever!

  • smokey looks so handsome in this video

  • SO smoooth!

  • No help just pure sound!!!!

  • MUSEUM

  • this iz tha bom i call this tha baby makein music hahaha

  • William "Smokey" Robinson, Jr. a songwriter who definitely separates the men from the boys.

  • Old time Motown is awesome

  • this is awesome stuff- no braggin about bitches or bling or posses. The focus is on talent. If today's artists just sang thier true talent would be revealed (or lack of) and they wouldn't make it out of the karoke bar.

  • I just love them... from this time... the voices, the message in the music was so pure and clean

  • great songs from that time.otown phil spector with his phillysound, smokey, marvin, otis, 4 tops, diana ross etc, great stuff

  • This was back when the song was waay more important than the choreography. I love good choreography, but I respect a well presented song more than a well presented dance. Love Smokey Robinson!!

  • smokey robinson is a fricken legend me and my wife loves his music

  • 26 people need their ear wax cleaned out

  • The MIRACLES are: (Left to Right) PETE MOORE (bass) , BOBBY ROGERS (2nd tenor) , RONNIE WHITE (baritone,R.I.P.) , and BILL "SMOKEY" ROBINSON (1st tenor/lead singer) . 2 other members not shown are CLAUDETTE ROGERS ROBINSON (Bobby's cousin and Smokey's then-wife) , and MARV TARPLIN (guitarist,R.I.P.) . All of the MIRACLES (except Claudette) were songwriters (not just Smokey), and 3 of them wrote this song, PETE,SMOKEY,and MARV.

  • I wish that people would stop mentioning PLATOON in connection with this song . The MIRACLES' "The Tracks Of My Tears" was a MILLION-SELLER before that movie was ever even MADE.That movie didn't make the song more famous. It was more like the other way around.

  • @williamg2552 I agree, but I am 35 and unfortunatly I may not have been exposed to this song had it not been for platoon. the movie "step-brothers" revealed the wonderful work of Bocelli and Brightman and had it not been for the movie, there would be fewer fans.

  • what gay dance is that?

  • @mikeyfehr it's a CHA-CHA. The Tracks Of My Tears has a soft cha-cha beat, and so Motown choreographer CHOLLY ATkINS (who did the choreography for THE MIRACLES and all of Motown's other groups) had THE MIRACLES do a cha-cha dance step to this particular song.

  • @mikeyfehr WHAT! I suppose you would wat to see them grabbing at their crotches like the dudes do nowadays? These guys are royalty buddy! shut up

  • Yup, Smokey ...is s m o k i n g!

  • People say I'm the life of the party because I tell a joke or two - favourite line!! I heard this song on Big Time Rush and was determined to hear the whole song!!

THUMBS UP if this is why you're watching it!!!

  • Real music.

  • @Bammers0111 Real arrogance.

  • Przyjemne

  • People need to STOP giving SOLE CREDIT to SMOKEY for songs that were recorded by THE MIRACLES as a GROUP. Like he was in the studio by himself. This is the SAME KIND of ONE-SIDED THINKING that caused SMOKEY to be inducted into the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME ALONE..while the other members of THE MIRACLES were left out. Kudos to ALL of The Miracles...BOBBY ROGERS, PETE MOORE, CLAUDETTE ROBINSON , SMOKEY ROBINSON, and R.I.P. to departed Miracles MARV TARPLIN and RONNIE WHITE. Motown's first group.

  • @williamg2552 I definitely agree!! I don't know how the rest of the band could stand it!!

  • When this song was first released, in 1965, the label credit said "THE MIRACLES". Not "Smokey Robinson and The Miracles" ...and certainly not just "Smokey Robinson".

  • sounds like a womans voice, but thats something I can appreciate. fantastic singing.

  • just a quick request can you make this available for mobile users?

  • harmony and melody...anyone??

  • The times music was music and not noise or garbage

  • Now this is what you call music!!!

  • 4569 people can see the tracks of his tears,

  • 25 people havent got soul in there veins,i feel for you .

  • Music being made today can't even come close to this! All the marketing and technology in the world can't duplicate it. This music is timeless, 100 years from now they will still be playing music from this era. I can't say the same for any of todays pop artists.

  • Thank you for the upload :)

Please check out the IreneConti acoustic version of this song, I think she is sweet and amazing! She is my sister, please help me to support her!

    Thank you :$

  • Now this is back when it was REAL music and that's coming from a 22yr old in the UK....Such a great track!

  • i love how they dance, not like today... grinding almost naked just to sell their music. they didnt need to do that back in the days. if music was good, it would sell, no need to include sex in videos and drugs to be cool. fuck the modern music.

  • what a group FAB 60s beats todays music ANYDAY

  • @rubn3ful I agree that Platoon is among the best 'Nam movies. It certainly left an impression on me when I saw it as a kid.

  • what is platoon if i my ask?

  • nice music)))))))))))))

  • I am 35 and Platoon definitely is on my best memories as a child.

  • this real music people!!

  • my mom got all excited yesterday when they played this on the radio and started singing along :D

    it was so cute!

  • Wonderful singing and lyrics. Not sure about the cricket kit.

  • to my son in heaven this is how i feel since you passed.....mama

  • @thepartysinheaven --so sorry for your loss.

  • @thepartysinheaven You know he wants you to find peace.

  • gotta love the wild style of dancing

  • Music is what makes the soul awake with love.

  • wernt they brill such talent and old time we will not see again in the old days that is dont forget they did not have the ampfilication they have today or indeed stereo and digital imagine if it was sung today waugh p burke manchester.

  • all i can say is platooooooooooooooooooooon

  • I still say rap sucks!

  • love that voice

  • 0:46 If he was lip-syncing, why would he breathe?

  • @rubn3ful It was a great movie. You need to mellow. They were simply saying that the song reminds them

of the movie. It was played a couple of times during the movie. I WAS in the service and I served over 2

tours in the Nam. We had some of the brothers in our squad during the time I was there and I always loved

the music they would play on their tape recorders. There's a kind of magic in the music and the performance

    of the singers.

  • Love this Motown sound! My kind of music...

  • My generation got the crap end of music

  • Clean as hell, sharp as a tack, moves so graceful!

  • I was enjoying this when I started to think "Platoon",...burst out laughing when I saw someone else post the same sentiment.

It's like when I hear "Free Bird"....then instantly think Forrest Gump.

...now back to this awesome song.

  • overspel

  • @MusicManBurk haha ja

  • I had already used to the pace of James "Big Time Rush"

  • no dis smoke but his bull legget dancer lol jk

  • this video would of been very innovating at the time.

  • Must have hit replay like 20 times already.

  • try listening to Soulja Boy and the rest of the crap as soon as you are done listening to this. It'd feel like going from Barack Obama to O.J

  • @charms71 lol i love that comparison

  • Just smooooooth!

  • This is brilliant

  • sick dance moves, and i love how he has no emotion while singing...like hes just like "i got this"

  • HOT

  • This song makes me so happy. The covers are good, like Gavin DeGraw's cover, but they're not anything like the original in my opinion :)

  • Comment removed

  • hear what yer saying i like the go west version better though, everything evolves ... all the best

  • then music was ansome

  • wow we are in reverse! Why was music better then, then it is now lol

  • such a beautiful song!!!

  • Man as a kid this was one of my favorites. These were some great years.

  • même moi qui est 14 ans j'adore une musique vielle de 45 ans , si c'est pas énorme !

  • O smokey sings rite in to my heart <3

  • 23 people who dislike like men singing about making love to other men.

  • Pollici in su se avete cercato questa canzone dopo aver sentito "Pifferaio Magico" degli Articolo 31!

  • P.L.A.T.O.O.N

  • sorry, i dont usually make these trite, hackney comments but, if you dont like this song U R SOULLESS...just soulless

  • When someone calls a video "live", I rush to it, especially old songs, as the chance of a real, non-lip synched performance was rare on TV in the 60's.. I like to hear the group as they actually sounded LIVE. This performance is lip-synched, and therefore,

NOT LIVE. Please note the difference!

  • reminds me of "The Wonder Years"... great memories...
