  • Jeez, politically biased reporting back in '96 even.

  • Thanks for uploading this. While I might not watch a lot of TV (or any nowadays), I'm still very fascinated with how it all works; at least the technical side of things.

  • That was cool...It reminds me of when my local CBS station looked like it was broadcasting it's raw feed instead of it's normal feed on accident.

  • Brian's voice wasn't as nasal as it is now.

  • you need a bigger dish mate

  • I used to love to watch the raw feeds on our CBand...we used to get the nightly inserts for local news, and then usually 15-20 minutes before they fed the news, you would get these types of feeds...they would sometimes have the newscaster send audio/video promos for stations during this time also...

  • I thought NBC Nightly News was a live broadcast.

  • it is

  • It's always good to hear an open with the late, great Fred Facey...

  • on this time when c-band was analog that was so difficult to find a feed but u did it respect good work :)

  • so funny

  • Where'd you obtain this rare gem...

  • I used to have one of those huge C-BAND Sat Dishes. There was a channel on there that NBC used to feed video to its affiliates. Right before nightly news would air I could seem them prepare and testing graphics etc.

  • Oh okay, forget my last comment on this video then. It was just a test/run-through.

  • @SanAntonioNews78 You were watching the NBC News Channel. Fed from Charlotte NC. It was the way the local affiliates downloaded stories from other NBC affiliates around the country .
