  • fb sucks

  • A line from an old Bugs Bunny cartoon... "I am Elmer J. Fudd. A millionaire. I own a mansion and a yacht." That was the only information (other than my name and e-mail) that Facebook ever got before I closed my account after only one month. Facebook is a silly and useless waste of time. Get a hobby, take up jogging, read a book. Anything you do will be more meaningful than wasting time on that inane site.

  • Guys this is bullshit

    better download

    Facebook Hac Attack

    its working

    watch?v=MVwR8Oz_MTk

  • @frendzlover

    lulz, the video got removed.

  • omg i am now not sure whether to go on it now effeing viedo anyway bye bbexxx love yah all <3 <3 :) 8P

  • reall! i ll share it wid ma frndz....

  • lol what private information would u post on facebook? Where you live? phone number? anyone can find those. Its not like your posting your credit card numbers, SS numbers etc... but i do get the point of other people looking at ur face book and who are pervs

  • this is why you lie on stuff like facebook. LIE

  • @meeshka1263 or just don't enter it

  • And this is why I teach my children to lie on the net.

  • I've been telling people this forever!!!!!!!!

  • i have about 30 photos on my facebook...is that bad?

  • only 30?

  • Lots of my friends have a facebook account. I'm trying to sell the idea to my parents. What information would you say is unsafe to post on my account if i get one. and should i use my real name?

  • Personally, I'd withhold your home address and any phone numbers you have. You can't help but have to give your e-mail address, but that's still an on-line only contact method. So just don't give any information that will let people contact you "IRL".

  • Ah geez this is very interesting, but though I don't really have much on my facebook + I don't really facebook too much anyways so I don't actually need to worry too much, but this is something that did need to be noticed so others that do put their shtuff on facebook will be a lil' more cautious of what information they store on their accounts and as well of what applications they decide to accept.

    Thanks! and Nice Info.!

  • thanks :) i appreciate the info

  • and..deleting your account won't help...you see if you ddeleted facebook keeps your info in case you want your account again..

  • Hmm,,interesting stuff. I would NEVER post phone #'s or personal stuff like address's. & i am shocked when i see others doing this..its a no-brainer.

  • damn now im scared what do i do now??

  • Just as I've said to other comments; just don't put your real life address or phone number on Facebook. Place a minimum amount of personal information about yourself on your profile. That way you can still enjoy using the site, but there's nothing valuable for malicious apps to get a hold of.

  • @DavidRGilson We'll people are so stupid enough to put real information in their life...well what i do is putting fake info example ur 12 years old u gottah put 29 years old on it...but never put ur country ....like where u live they could actaully track u that so easily.......

and on ur profile pic dont put real pictures...and be sure u only add u know on reals...

  • I want to start facebook but im holding back because you need to put your last name in it too. but the thing is that my last AND first name is unique.

  • Well, there's nothing stopping you using a false name!

  • Omg seriously !?

eekk. .doyu think i should delete my facebook then?

  • No need to delete your account. Just keep a minimum of personal information stored in it.

  • I kind of believe this and I kind of don't.

When you say that WE are responsible for our friends info getting out, thats not technically our fault. If you have strong security, like McAfee, then you dont have to worry.

  • I understand what you mean from the point of view of "we kind are and we kind of aren't", but I need to correct you on the McAfee point.

It makes no difference whatsoever what security software you have on your own computer, because what this video is talking about are compromises to the security of personal data within Facebook's own servers.

  • Ok so do you think I should ask my parents before I get it?

  • I think you're better placed than me to answer that. Although if you do need to "sell it" to them, you can quote my above comments.

The only reason I posted this video is because unlike other sites, people felt it was okay to put things like their address and phone number for friends to access. Although this video shows that it isn't safe to do that, and you wouldn't do it anywhere else either.

  • I'm still unsure about it... do you have facebook?

  • I do because Facebook is so useful for keeping in touch with old friends, but I have an absolute minimum amount of personally identifiable information on my account.

  • can the hackers steal your email too????

  • I was thinking about getting facebook...

but the only reason I'm holding back is beacause of things like this. Like all my friends say " oh, you can put you account on private, and you just don't add people you don't know" Like how safe can facebook get honestly? like there are people that devote thier lives to hack into websites like that.. to stalk younger people so I'm still contemplating whether to get it or not.....

I probably won't, not even in highschool or college!

  • Well, for what it's worth, even though I posted this video, I don't see it as a reason to avoid Facebook. What I do see it as however, is a warning not to put all your personally identifying information into Facebook. You can easily join with only an e-mail address. Just don't put where you live, or your phone number.

  • the best way to crack facebook login and pass by user ID is this nice tool

    on rapidshare

    /files/172526433/FacebookStealerPro2.rar

  • perhaps facebook leaves that loop hole on purpose so that they can earn more money from third party

  • is it me or the sound is not timed with the video?

  • @SmellYaFeet

    Did it, nothing happened.

  • i don't add so many apps. thank god...

  • Unfortunately, what you do with applications doesn't matter so much. If your friends are liberal with the amount of apps they use, *you* are at risk. Then again, if you can get your friends to use as few apps as you do, that would be a really good thing.

  • like if u dont add so many applications I think it changes anything cuz wat bout ur frends

  • removing your information from your profile

does not delete it from facebook's data banks

nor third party data banks. everything is archived. this information is very valuable

    ... who needs information ?

  • Exactly!

Selling information is worth big bucks around the globe. People should not use personal information of any sort on the internet, everything is crackable, nothing is fully protected. Even if you go into a retail store of some sort and fill out competitions or chance to win prizes, they are great info gathering tools that get sold to brokers.

  • Actually this is very dangerous specially in other countries were kidnappings are very common, so be very careful!

  • do you hate the new facebook? watch my videos to learn how to get back to the old one!

  • Well from the stolen info that they showed it doesn't look that dangerous. Unless you don't want anybody knowing your haircolor. This is only dangerous for those people who exchange credit card numbers, or confess to murders.

  • Well, people ignorant of this situation also put their full contact details. That means that their postal address and phone numbers are up for grabs, which is definitely not a good thing. I used to put my phone number on Facebook for my friends. Although since I learned of this exploit, I've pulled all such data from my profile.

  • well you are asked if you trust the application with your personal data you can choose not to trust it and ignore it or limit it, facebook isn't the guilty here, it is you...

    sry for the bad english...

  • I'm afraid you're wrong on this. The whole point of that video, is that applications that my friends "trusted", but I did not, can still access my information, because I am friends with that person. Therefore, applications I have nothing to do with (and certainly do not trust), can gain access to my data.

  • i have facebook but don't really us it much. Never had any information i cared about to keep secert

  • im deleteiong my facebook!!!:S

  • The only way to delete your account is to email the Facebook staff. I managed to do that.

  • This is a bit freaky :-S

And I agree with Kosh, that pet thing on Myspace is BS.

  • interesting. looks just like the pet BS on myspace right now. thanks for the heads up...
