To all of you who might think that it is hard for the amputee's partner ... be reassured that it can be an inspiration for the partners to be with such an amazing person - Pauline appears to be absolutely wonderful and strong. But at some point, we all must take personal responsibility for our choices of action or inaction independent of the people and circumstances surrounding us, good or bad. I've made choices that have thrown me into unsafe environments without my supportive family. But I made those choices fully aware that I wanted to learn & grow.
