  • I am a friend of Canadiancatgreen and hope you can help

can you use no alcohol so it would be way better?

ant thank you and to candiancatgreen

  • @canadiancatgreen Hello there. I am sure you can make a non alcoholic eggnog. A word of caution. The alcohol helps in preserving the beverage, and killing some of the bacteria. I would suggest you use pasteurized eggs to make the eggnog, just to be sure.

You can also find a rum essence and a whiskey essence in the market. You could use either, and make a very realistic non-alcoholic eggnog.

    Hope this helps.

  • @irfandama I am canadiancatgreen and my friend says thank you

  • Eggnog ..Mmmmm..so delicious..thanks for sharing chef

  • @eateastIndian Thank you! Why wait for the holiday season for indulgence... I say we should have eggnog all year around.

    Thanks again.

  • Hey Irfan,

Thanks first for another great year of recipes from your fine self.

Not many people spare the time to thank people who do great stuff.

    My thanks at least.

Now for this video. Nice tips on the "it won't blend" part. Also Captain Morgan rum

isn't my fave (sodomy & lash as far as taste :-)

Have to mention I used another brand of rum (forget the brand) to soak raisins in for 1 month & mix with ice cream, was excellent. Thanks much pal. BTW, please don't use nail polish :-)

  • @philbx1 Hey Phil, Thanks for the comments. We all have our individual tastes & I like Spiced Capt. Morgan's Rum for this application. Rum is a very American twist, hailing back to the days when Cognac & Whisky were taxed heavily. Rum became the 'grog' of choice.

As for nail polish, good eye! That's my wife helping me in the video. She was going to be part of the video but got sick just before shooting the greeting. I'm sure you;ll see her in the upcoming videos.

    Merry Christmas to you.

  • Just tried this recipe as we can't buy eggnog in England. It was delicious thank you so much. Happy holidays!

  • @sachastormy Thanks for the comments. I am so happy you liked the recipe. You can't buy Eggnog in the US either. That's because the crap they sell in the cartons cannot be termed as Eggnog, in my opinion ; )

Happy Holidays and best wishes for 2011.

  • Thank you. I was really looking for eggnog recipes. Happy Holidays!

  • @TheSugarplum770 You are most welcome. Enjoy, and drink responsibly (do what I say, not what I do... huh?)

Wishing you and your family the best for the holidays.

  • @irfandama lol. Thanks and Happy Holidays to you and your family too.

  • @ciaobela1979 Thank you. I am sure you will love this recipe. Wish you and your family the best for the holidays.
