Matt i see what you mean by stiff drawings.People tend to draw small and it will stay stuck and they will get stuck drawing smaller sketches or drawings. while bigger drawings give more of a challenege because more line work. Would drawings be considered "stiff" if you draw with your wrist? Unless thats what you meant by finger hehe.I used to draw small but drawing bigger shows you your good points and your bad points in drawing. Nice Tip
Definitely a great tip, it was something I was taught at the Marie Walsh Sharpe Summer Seminar. We were also told not to start off focusing in one spot, and for your audience to know what you're drawing within the first couple minutes of drawing, this made us draw all over the place instead of just one spot, giving the same amount of time to every spot on the piece.
thats what my art school teacher always says.. drawing bigger is always better

very true, i have a bad habit of drawing very small, i try not to but it just comes natural.....Very helpful video.
