nice bike , and the reason why it shuts off when you idle it is because 2-strokes are not ment to idle for a long time like when u start it up let it idle for a 30 seconds with the choke off! and yeah there nothing wrong with the bike all 2 strokes do that

pretty cool, i like the older bikes and thats a great deal for 300$ My bro just got a 1989 kx 125 for 400$ and it runs perfect. Also, if it doesnt idle high enough, all you have to do is turn the idle screw and it should help

if it shuts off at idle its not a big deal its just the oil and fuel building up in the motor therefor making it slow down and chug....you can cure this by running a good oil like motoul 710 at 40;1 with a high octane fuel like 91 or 93 and some octane booster if you want

it dies because the idle is to slow. you can adjust it by turning the idle speed screw,the one in the middle of your carb. only adjust when it's at slowest idle.

mate igot 1987 kx 125 you will not get a mx bike to idle to long you put it in gear with cluth in it will cut out instant its a race clutch if you want to turn it up on the carb its up to you but it might do it might not

I dont think theres anything wrong with the idle thing but it would be good to replace the spark plug and oil and I would recomend you get a body kit, pipe, shock, struts, and bar, etc if you wanna make it like totally awesome but nice bike anyway
