  • Fucking thought Coachella line up said Deerhunter. Now I find out it's some shitty band called THE deerhunter. Bullshit. Pure Bullshit.

  • anybody know more bands like this?

  • @jflipskater05 Tame Impala and Darker My Love

  • I was a little iffy on these guys, but this is fucking awesome.

  • to all video lovers of this band and to all the concerts' lovers we have created this web with the best videos of the best concerts. We thank you for all your help ;-)

  • oh my god.....cryptograsm...

  • This version of cryptograms is just incrrrrrredible

  • I really don't understand how right now Bradford Cox and Deerhunter aren't as big as Nirvana was in 1991.

  • @jenkemcrustsuperstar often times great bands arent noticed for thier greatness until years later

  • noise and pop, pop and noise

  • garbage

  • @TRay45678 fuck yourself

  • isane revolution

  • I love them.

  • why don't they ever play "coronado" live?

  • @The1979s

they probably never play it live because it has a sax in it, and it'd be kind of a pain in the ass to bring out a saxophone just for one song out of the whole set

  • the fact that they make a conscious effort to be better live than on record is amazing because they're already great on record.

  • I think their music is so brilliant, smartly made.

  • can't read Locket's shirt, but the mice are awesome!!

  • One of my favorite bands of all time.

  • Trippy intro, reminds me of Animal Collective.

  • Love that intro

  • so so so SO fucking good.

  • Not everyone is going to get this. It's unique, therefore a minority will voice their opinions. That however does not make them retarded.(why do people still think that's ok?) Anyways, i love deerhunter and their last album Halcyon Digest was an emotionally moving piece of art that i enjoy very often. I have a feeling this will be something I never stop listening to. :)!!!!!!

  • put the phones away and watch the show god damn

  • @Creamy360

theres nothing wrong with recording and sharing live music.

  • This band is excellent in any era! Talented and ahead of the curve. Yes, keep the chat down in the concert venue some folks want to hear the band!

  • Can anyone tell me the name of the song @ 12:00? The guitar break @13:10 is ridiculously beautiful and pure genius!

There is a similar riff on Halcyon Digest. The opening riff on track 6... Desire Lines? Something about the rapid succession of notes is just so infectious.

Thanks for keeeping it real, and playing from the heart. These boys are true artists.

  • @mlawtone This song is called Rainwater Cassette Exchange. its off of their EP called "Rainwater Cassette Exchange"

  • @morganisspiderman ty spideyman

  • @mlawtone haha no problem, it should be Deerhunterman haha

  • Skipping to 18:27 alone makes this video worthwhile. AWESOME CONCERT!

  • oh gosh they´re good

  • Tomorrow I'll be watching this band in Madrid Spain, can't wait!!!

  • @pableision Nice! How was it?

  • @ThisGuyLikesToSkate Really nice. Good sound, good setlist, the band was full of energy, ver powerful set, it was a long time since I enjoyed a gig so much. Thanks Deerhunter!!!

  • If you don't like this then clearly you are venison.

  • His voice sounds like a combination of Julian Casablancas and Noah Lennox.

  • @lukepleaseshutup i disagree

  • @morganisspiderman I respect your opinion.

  • @lukepleaseshutup and i respects yours as well

  • 91 people are deers

  • does anyone know the bass tab for Famous Last Words during the Verse?

  • Saw them on stage at the Shepherds Bush Empire here in London last Friday. One of the most incredible gigs ever. If 'indie' really means anything at all these days, then it means Deerhunter. Thanks to these guys, my ears and my heart are back in the game of 1974 Lou Reed, 1995 Radiohead and so on and so forth. Love ♥

  • Great influence! ^-^

  • This is one of my favorite venues in SF. Mezzanine is great.

  • This is one of my favorite venues in SF. Mezzanine is great.

  • amazing...long live deerhunter

  • Everyone knows that Bradford is God, for fuck's sake, why all the haters?

  • Now this is a band who uses their pedals wisely.

  • @castillo555 Yeah apparently for the voice it's just a couple digitechs, reverb and delay. But the results are terrific! And I guess Radiohead took some notes about it recently :P

  • who told lurch that he could sing?

  • best video on youtube

  • Swee!

  • @SeanGloverMusic Amen!

  • It's like shoegaze without the awesome. No energy whatsoever. No good music. Meh.

  • complete ripoff of basshunter

  • @warlowl wtf?

  • epic

  • facebook

  • mimori card

  • Du bist schlecht

  • @Lbp219 fuck you german

  • God, I hate mobile phones...

  • i would like to see them with halcyon digest

  • I'm lucky enough to get to see them at bonnaroo this summer. I expect desire lines to be a highlight of my 18 years on this earth so far.

  • my favorite performances are Spring Hall Convert and Hazel St. The rest were kind of disappointing, so downplayed when they could have been epic!

  • why does he hold the guitar?

  • is there an mp3 of this concert?

  • @bobbyprier No, but you can look up on youtube to find out how you can take youtube video's audio and put it on itunes er something. thats how i got this live version on my Ipod

  • DEERHUNTER is amazing! If you like deerhunter, check out LADYCOP currently on tour

  • People gotta put their phones and interweb machines away and just enjoy the concert

  • @et720 In the words of Zack de la Rocha: "The moment is the memory"! Completely agree!

  • @et720 You're welcome.

  • saw these guys live in atlanta at the end of 2010 got to help set up the show and see them during sound check, it was like a private little preformance there were only like people in the room at that point....anhyway this band is rad, and the people in the band are even cooler, definitely a band that cares deeply about the music they make and one of the rare bands that can make a whole album of listenable material. They have an awesome sound and I hope they keep on progressing

  • rockin the white strat it's like mine but less beat up due to my more aggressive style of playing, Yes i was shat out of nirvana's ass

  • can't wait for the new album, Love these guys so much. Great recording

  • @ryoga415 "the" new album? they probably won't release a new album this year. hopefully an EP!

  • I love the first track they play...after the Springsteen intro. but I don't know what it's called and on which album I can find it. Can anybody help?

  • @rickspad65 Cryptograms on "Cryptograms."

  • anyone know what pedal/rackmount bradford cox uses to get the delay on his voice?

  • @concretedonkey any flanger effect could do the job. Most amps have that effect built in but if yours don't you can check out the boss bf3 flanger.

  • @concretedonkey bradford uses a digitech digiverb on his voice to get that weird backwards reverb thing going, and a digitech digidelay, but thats set to looping mode, so he can loop little vocal riffs

  • @rasm0168 you can convert it and put on itunes/ipod. good luck

  • @lobotreas Bradford Cox has a condition called Marfan's syndrome. As a result his limbs are longer than average and he is very spindly.

  • @QuarantineThePast yes tis true.

    i have it myself also.

and from what ive hear buckethead may also have it which makes me feel not so lonely in the world.

  • Please please someone link me to an audio rip of this! It sounds so good live.

  • @RacismIsSchism - Are you serious? It's Bruce Springsteen - Born To Run.

  • @RacismIsSchism... the song at the very, very beginning?? If so, it's Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band's "Born to Run."

  • I like Rainwater Cassette Exchange EP. I don't care what anyone else says.

  • @GiganticAsses who says otherwise? It's effing rad!

  • Great post! Deerhunter rules!!!

  • @Jackstrider Haha, right! Why would you go to a Deerhunter video and telling people that "The Dear Hunter" is better? That would be like going to a Bryan Adams video telling everybody that Ryan Adams is better. No sense.

  • @Jackstrider

mmmmmm.... What is actual music? This is just good music. You can go and suck The Dear Hunter dick if you like but hey, tastes are in the air...

  • @Jackstrider saw them open for Andrew Bird. they bored the shit out of a packed house

  • @luraske There's an amazing movie that came out in 1979 called "The Deer Hunter." I can't imagine where else they would have gotten their name from. They're one of the loudest bands I've ever seen.
