ahahha very funny! the very thing that is thought to us in this vid is actually the one that's disabled! ahahha very funny! but really, it does slow down your pc...LOL!!! waaa XD

it gives u more control aswell
u can get it at his official site mlin. net/StartupCPL.shtml
You did everything right and all but you're not really detailed. You should be explain what it does and how it works. Versus just how to do it. Just my two cents anyway, sorry if you didn't even want one :P
The average computer user will think those changes are permanent and they can't use their applications any more. You need to explain how it just stops the programs from being starting in RAM before the OS starts.
Well I did explain that its about removing applications from starting up, not removing them permanently from the OS. There are too many things people can misunderstand, will see how we can improve on it next time.
Good point, I didnt want to confuse the average new windows vista user with msconfig yet. So I decided to show the simple basic options first. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have another hint for you: Disable defender.
Remove them manually:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

You might be thinking about the msconfig from the run command line, I use that too, but for first time users to vista this is a new way of doing it.

tbh typing msconfig into the start menu and pressing enter lets you remove more items from startup
