It's been a year wearing my hair natural after relaxers for years. I will never go back to chemicals. The relaxers had caused my hair to thin out as I got older but putting them to a halt has been the smartest move I've ever made when it comes to my hair. I have type 4 hair so it took no time to thicken back up. In all my 49+ years this is the 1st time in my life I am proud to have coarse hair. We are the most beautiful race in the world and yes, I've been kissed by the sun.Thanks,music awesome!

I showed her diff pic of hairs styles and vids on her about how everyone was happy about going natural. she feels like its to much work. I just dont want her to end up like her mom, bald wit a bunch of wigs. I just want her to be happy and her hair is a big deal to her, so if it falls out or worse never grows back right i know she'll be heart broken :(.
Im puerto rican and i really love natural afroamerican hair. My girl is black and her hair is damaged fron perming it so much. I would like her to give it a rest so her hair can repair its self. But she thinks she'll look bad or made fun of. what can i do to help her out. Her hair is praticaly falling out.
well there's nothing you can relly do if she don't love herself for who she is and what she has. but all you can really do is encourage her to stop the self inflicted hurt on her hair by you know telling her that you'll be with her no matter what but when it comes to damaging her self or hair that it bothers you and just encourage her to stop abusing her hair. but there's nothing no one can do because she has to have the self confidence in her self to accept who she is and what she has
