I always thought it was that too. Or "pout". It probably is fall (because of the Canadian accent?) but I had this theory: At the end of Stadiums and Shrines, they always play the ending to "They took a vote and said no", and that song talks about voting, and he doesn't sing that line in the recorded version of the song, so I figured it was vote because Spencer Krug seems like he'd have intricate complex ways of connecting his songs. I don't know.

That was my logic, too! Like he was giving some shout-out to the "They Took a Vote and Said No" ending, or something. Listening to it again, though, I don't hear the 't' sound so it probably is 'fall.' Glad someone had the same theory, though!
