  • Only leave the peel on if it is organic! Most peel contains harmful pestiside residue that cannot be washed off with water. If leaving the peel on make sure it is 100% organic. Be safe!

  • To much PARSLEY is bad! Death can be caused by consuming to much parsley. In moderation as a flavouring it is fine! Certain medical conditions can be made worse by excess parsley consumption! Parsley is not a food! its a flavouring only! Its related to hemlock. So caution should be used and only consume small amounts.

  • Very Informative. Thank you for sharing.

  • I have been searching for vids on nutrition and this is the best I've seen so far. Excellent believable information. Well done. The only question I have is: what about the root vegetables? Like beets, turnips, etc, I've read that the greens are very healthful. Are the greens on those not as nutritious as the root?

  • Really good info. Thank You.

  • Let me know whether anybody read about of DietOramy healthy eating plan program (google for more information)? • When a volcano erupts the lava leaves behind great soil that is extremely fresh and effective. Use it to grow plants. These plants contain far more minerals and nuturients than average plants. The animals eats the plant/veggies to grow stronger and healthier than the standard. Animal that eat meat can eat other animals so they too get infected by this. People eat the plants and animals so they too get infected.

  • The spa water is just sooo good, and good for you.

  • Bringing the Bible into it was key. This video was part of a presentation I had on eating from the garden of Eden. Not all the foods mentioned were Biblical in nature but they were all foods geared to good health.

  • Love the spa water!

  • she always brings the bible up..makes me not like the vids as much

  • Thanks for helping me live better. My Wife and I are about to go to the grocery store right now.....

  • for great healthy eating tips check out this facebook page, you'll be shocked at the things you'll find out

  • I know. It was for a womens' conference and detail was important. I had to limit the subject matter, too, which was why fish, which is good for us, was not included.

  • Scripted soooo heavily, but I thank you for this info

  • thanks

  • thank you, one of the best healthy eating videos!

however what happened to fish? low calories amazing nutritional content lots of protein. i think we in the 'west' have abandoned fish from our diets, strong people with good immune systems usually eat lots of sea food and fish. they're also not prone to being processed or 'gentically modified' like some meats. if only we got more of these we'd be a lot less succeptible to illnesses.

  • save your self,,,,,, be a vegetarian,,,, thanks for this video,,,

  • wow, i never knew parsely had more calcium then milk holy mother of greens! its time to eat those leaves!

  • What a healthy advice.. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

  • I've always loved most veges Exept:

    Pineapple ( same as orange)

    Olives

    Oranges(juice is nice. Texture=no!)

    Melted cheese!! ( it's not a vege, i know)

    Feta

    Yellow and green capsicum

Does anyone have any ideas of a possible way that can help me learn to eat these foods? The fruits especially. I appreciate any help :D

  • @SLBritneySpearsUT

    well,

-the richness of an Olive actually comes from it's oil (3 squeezes, 1st-salad dressing, 2nd-oil and 3rd-I forgot)

-The texture is just fibers, the juice is the important part

-cheddar cheese, eat it with wholemeal bread and ham and tomatoes and parsley and spinach (yum)

well, the rest are just added fibers to better your bowel movements, I personally think that Banana and Kiwi fruits are nature's laxative ( i know, I constipate )

    :]

  • how do i have to live healthy when i am all the time on work and my mom is always making junkfood. i never learned to live on myown and i have problems with making food on my own. it feels like i have an empty cup in my head.

and i do feel sick for 2 much times. i can learn something from you pick me and some other who have problems. and send a youtube mail to me and others.

  • I hate my taste buds, I want to enjoy eating vegetables and eat healthy. I'm over-weight at an age that I'm not supposed to be, how can I make vegetables taste good? <:(

  • @nintendex07 You can blend leafy greens like spinach or parsley with fruits (my favorite recipe is spinach, strawberries, pineapple, and frozen bananas). Just add some water or coconut water and you have such an amazing drink.

  • "I love sprinkling beans on my salad"

    Haha, good one.

  • What a nice lady with good advice

  • GREAT advice!!! Thanks very much!

  • Vegetable and fresh fruit juices are known to posses great health-promoting properties.

  • I always thought that the only negative calorie was celery, but holy frigg i didnt know there was a bunch of negative calorie foods! check out my research on my luuux blog!!!

  • To my healthy food list

  • This video is truly amazing. I've lived off bread, water and canned goods pretty much all my life and I've always wanted to incorporate more fruits and veggies into my diet (especially since cancer runs in my family and I used to smoke like a chimney, lol) but I never knew how. I have a question though, how long do fresh fruits last before they expire? I think this weekend I'm going to go to the grocery store and buy a variety of fruits and veggies, but will they go bad before I can finish them?

  • @666789443 It depends. Peaches keep at room temperature several days. Apples store well in the frig. Oranges keep a week or so at room temp or the frig. Lemons are best stored in the frig - rinse them off, put in a plastic baggy and they'll keep a couple weeks. You can freeze grapes - off the stem, wash well, dry and pour onto a cookie sheet in a single layer, then put them in containers. They'll pour out easily as you need them. Good luck with your healthy eating! Rita from AboutEating.

  • to my fovorite

  • THAT was very helpful, thanks!!

  • "Do not be decieved, my dear brothers. Every good and perfect gift is from above, comming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." James 1:16-17

  • Where can you buy peppermint?

  • I agree with everything except the soy beans. Fermented soy only in the traditional Asian style---otherwise, hard to digest and actually interferes with digestion of nutrients.

  • Excellent...Drink your vitiamins and herbs if you cant eat them

  • Hey thanks for the information! Now I can go shoping for the right foods! 0:)

  • The reason why people find the religious stuff bull, is cause healthy eating existed before religion. People knew what each kind of food did, and how to use it for medicinal purposes.

  • AWESOME

  • Thankyou for makeing this video. i wish other videos were as informant as this one

  • @DingoDavenport Glad you like it - that's my goal, to make it easy for folks to cook healthy. Rita from AboutEating

  • HEALTHY FOOD IS UNHEALTHY!!! see what your government thinks of healthy citizens. i'm serious.

    google: ORTHOREXIA NERVOSA

  • Wow. Its a shame how many people dont believe in God, but the bible says many people wont believe, because they want to think for themselves and figure everything ou on their own. psalm 14:1 says: The fool says in his heart, "There is no God."

  • I like the recipes, but the religious tid-bits are a huge turn off.

  • You lost me at bible...

  • @dustinhaze lol

  • Calling all Chefs - lets all get together to promote each other - inteactive together will mean a much larger audience.

  • @MrChefbari

    Im with you!

  • Does anyone know what kind of wheat she is talking about @ 1:28 - 1:58? It sounds like she's saying vulgar wheat of bullgar wheat, but I doubt that's what she's talking about. Thanks.

  • omg! i love this!!!

  • stevia is awesome...throw away your sugar

  • hey is it better to eat a small portion of a snack/ junk food or to eat a more healthier food like cereal or soup but alot of it so that u get full?

  • @KhmaiBodian559 hmm lol, junk food is never healthy, eat cerial in the morning with fruit if your not full, for meals eat small portions of meat with as much veg as u want to fill you up, drink a lot of water while you eat and it will help to make you feel full, remember to eat slowly as it takes around 20 mins for the food you eat to get to your stomach and make you feel full :)

  • @cones2005 drinking during your meal is not a good at all, drink before or after!

  • @silverstarshimmer fact - it makes you feel fuller and gets the food to go down quicker, stops peeps from bein a fat american :)

  • hey check this guy out he is doing a 40 day fast.go to diet contest

  • Not a lot of pesticides if you take organic food or grow the parsley, peppermint, apples ...in your own garden !

  • Favorited this video!!! I'll look at it when I need to...to remind me to eat healthier.

  • This is the besy wy to drink pesticides.

  • I don't trust anyone, I do my own research, and my own experiments. That way everything I do is my own doing, not some other saps thoughts. I don't need to point anything out negative, its called common sense. People keep chasing your asses thinking your getting smarter, when all you need to be is aware ;) CHeers !

  • i dont trust anyone that believes in biblical references...to advise me on health...Next thing she asks you to do is say 5 hail mary's for each pound over wieght you are too

  • Ha, that's what I thought. Mentioning that the bible says something is completely irrelevant to health and nutrition. Our scientific knowledge has progressed so much since then.

  • The founder of Physics got into Science to know more about God. The more he studied the more he was in awe of the creator, God. If you like science so much maybe you should look into its history?

  • Its history is inconsequential and the founder of physics being religious doesn't make religion relevant to science.

  • The founder of Physics (Isaac Newton) was also a mystic and an alchemist. He was trying to turn lead into gold. Newton was a genius and I appreciate what he did for math and science. But that doesn't mean he was right about everything.

  • The invention of the sciences has totally polluted our whole atmosphere, destorying our soil and water. Nothing we eat today is even comparable to what it was back in Bible times and how healthful the food was. Now we have mercury poisoning and other chemicals found everywhere in the eco system. In addition to looking into history as the other poster said, maybe you should look into ecoscience and discover the laughablility of your statement.

  • Er, what? How does that have anything to do with what I said? You're fabricating a false dichotomy between religion and science.

  • If you say that, I guess you have also drawn a false dichotomy. You say, "Our scientific knowedge has progressed so much since then." Are you talking about diet there? Have we really progressed? I suppose in the complication of life we have--processed foods, pesticides, mercury poisoning, diminished vitamins and minerals in our soils, all leading to poorer health. I'm not sure I see that as progression.

  • I'm talking about our KNOWLEDGE of diet. We now know which foods have which nutritional properties and exactly what such nutritional properties do for the body, as well as which things will beget good health and which things will cause poor health. The advent of many unhealthy practices that has been facilitated by science does not invalidate the knowledge we have gained about what is healthy. This would be a false anthropomorphization of science.

  • @sobefobik I understand and agree there are a lot of downsides to what science has done to us, but it has also done a lot FOR us. Think of the average lifespan back in biblical times compare to today. Sure, today we tackle different diseases that were not as frequent back then like obesity and heart disease, but try to look at the big picture.

  • lol

  • well as far as i know what she said is right however it is a must that a healthy diet (for healthy people) should have a balance diet, meat is good, in minimal portion as well as any of these information being said above.

this information is very helpful, but use it also in an appropriate portion and best to consult your doctor/nutritionist, because you might be eating too much and (too much and too little is always not good).

  • qunioa and kale.

  • i love edamame! very informative video :)

  • This is a good video. Thanks for the tips!!!

    great taste..really

  • Wow this lady knows her stuff. Thank you

  • yum

  • Hm...interesting. Too bad I hate most all food that is good for me. My taste buds just can't handle most this stuff. Oh well, back to my box of twinkies and tub of frosting to dip them in.

  • What does she say about pepermint and NUR. What is NUR please?

Oh yeah, and what I don't get is that you have to eat the flacks growned up. Wouldn't it still go into your system and digest it? That's how you spell flacks, right?

  • She says mint helps your brain feel fuller than you are. Also, you want to grind flax so you can get into the hard shell that protects the seed from your digestive system. If you eat them whole you will lose out on much of the omega fats that flax seeds have to offer, but you will get the fiber benefit

  • lemon helps you burn calories more efficiently???

wow i didnt knew that thx

  • yeh so can celery

  • really??!! dude thx god bless you man

  • You will burn more calories when you get more muscles. Muscles are 3 times more metabolically active than fat.

  • Actually, coming into Health and Shape founds on at least them both, healthy eating and muscle training. The best results are obtained by consuming unprocessed vegetables and fruits. Lean cottage cheese is a fabulous supply for the elevated protein demand upon an active lifestyle; regular resistance training and endurance training (cardio).

  • thanks for this! :)

  • Sweet
