Off the top of my head, yes. I would suggest mastering the "right hand" purpose (beat/pattern/pulse) first, and then move on to cueing with the left, and then... "shaping the sound/music" with BOTH... God Bless!

God Bless Brother Thanks for the insight. i have a question I do i start learning the basics of the hand movements like your hand acting as a metronome and letting different instruments know when to come in? please reply thanks.
