  • Do they recycle here? if they do there is alot of misplacements

  • @IWS15

yes they do recycle. The company that serves Catalina is owned and operated by Republic. The waste is transported back to the mainland where Republic sorts it. That's basically one method that California uses to recycle. It saves fuel and truck maintenance costs when you use only one truck lol

  • I really enjoyed this video so much i have now watched this like 3 times ha ha.

  • LOL, you got Cap the driver on this one. I am going to forward this to him, he will laugh....

  • is it quit a old truck sounds like it was strugling a bit or was it full up will you be able to get more of this packmoor.

  • Do they recycle on the island???

  • Yes, we recycle...

Seagull sanatation is owned by Republic on the mainland and all recyclables get barged over in 40-yrd open-top containers...

  • Oh, good! That's great!

  • Awesome find! Another truck from the island, didn't see this one but had wondered what trucks did residential there...5/5 and fav!!

  • Thank you!

  • WM where I live has like 2 VolvoFEs but carrying New Way Pup RL. But they use it for small residental streets & some commerical routes with carttippers!

Btw, Nice Catch, 5 Stars! Unfortunately since I left NY, I haven't seen a PakMor in 5 yrs, don't know if they make them no more!!!?!!!!

  • wow i would love to see that New Way WM truck!!! i think pakmor is still made but idk.

    Thanks!!

  • Great video!

  • thank you!

  • Nice video enjoyed very much Thanks. 5 Stars

  • thanks!

  • Do they have carts?

    NICE VID!

  • no they dont have any. Thank you!

  • nice old beast how old is it

  • not sure. Its not too old

  • LOL the city of Newpor Beach has a few of these due to the # of lanes(alleys) in their city. I'm getting footage of them soon. Hopefully of the one on the ALF Condor.

  • cool looking forward to it!

  • LOL looks like Catalina Island has a rule like Newport Beach where the lids have to be back on the can but upside down. And the truck I recorded like this one sounded different.

  • are newport beach trucks operated by the city?

  • Yes they are.

  • oh these trucks are operated by republic services

  • Awesome catch again! Catalina Isl. has some nice trucks on that side of the world looking at what you've posted. This Volvo's got a mad sound to the engine; love the drone as it nears the end of the packer cycle. Guess they don't have any recycling over there seeing all that cardboard and then the clattering glass around the beginning of the video? Nice vid man, loved it!

  • no they dont have recycling but it will be sorted somewhere. Thanks!

    Statistics & Data

    Honors for this video (1)

    #87 - Most Discussed (Today) - Autos & Vehicles

  • thanks for saving it! does it say the number 87 next to the vid in the most discussed section or do u have to count?

  • No it doesn't, but when you go to your video, there's a section for "Statistics & Data" under the bar that has "Favorite, Share, Playlists, Flag." If you click to expand the "Statistics & Data" it will show you the current info... but after a couple hours, it usually changes, and within a day the info will be gone.

  • Great video! Another unique truck, you are on a roll!!! Keep up the good work! 5* and Fav.

  • lol thank you!

  • do these guys also drive the FL also? what company owns them? when i was there i think republic services owns then; not suuuree

  • These guys are different ones than the fl. Idk who owns them. Good question. there are some consolidated disposal bins on the island (republic services) but i dont know if it actually is them or not

  • According to the phone number on the truck... this REL is owned by Seagull Sanitation Systems and they are a division of Republic Services.

  • ok thanks for clearing that up

  • No problem! I like learning about all the different companies... it's always interesting to see how big Republic is... seems like they have a lot of "stealth" operations all over the place.

  • Nice catch!

  • thanks!

  • is this recycling

  • no its not

  • o. im not suprised :|

  • it will all be sorted so its fine

  • o good

  • damn that blade is slow and hot chick alert at 2:17 lol

  • LOL

  • here pussy, pussy, pussy, here pussy, pussy, pussy! Good eyes man! Packer ain't slow, the pressure is turned down so that the recycling doesn't get to wrecked......know what I mean!

  • lol thank you! and also thank you for pointing that out!

  • Cool video, i guess speed and recycling arent factors here.

  • Thanks. And no they dont have much to do so i guess they just take their time
