  • put that in your miata and drag it!

  • pretty sure that turbo has a larger displacement than the engine itself lol

  • esta bueno para prender cigarros jajaj

  • Would you rather stick your dick in the turbo or stick your dick on the side of those red hot headers?

  • @TheSk8takid the red hot header cause atleast i would still have my dick.

  • With the smoke coming off the exhaust manifold. Is that the metal burning (which is possible!) or is it just a new zorst?

  • @blooded511 I really hope you're joking

  • wonder how much air that moves in f^3/s

  • wow. youre a boss when straight metal catches on fire. i would be terrified to be in that room.

  • sound like an airplane until the turbo kicks in yo

  • How is there fire outside the turbo manifold? Unless the heat has melted a hole. This engine has too much HP, not suitable for my 4x4, Haha

  • @sonicboomss the exhaust studs are stretching

  • i"ve seen a few rotary videos where one of the pipes always heats up and turns red, do rotaries have a cooling issue??

  • @sathan503 thats exhaust! has nothing to do with cooling. a naturally aspirated engine wont normally do this as they arent flowing much air / fuel. given a turbo engine, which flows tonssss more air and fuel, and of course the EGT's (exhaust gas temperatures) are going to be higher... causing the glowing pipes..

  • @sathan503 no, that's super heated exaust, nothing out of the ordinary.

  • SNAPS NECKS, MELTS EXHAUST PIPES, AND USES MORE GAS THAN A V8!!!!

  • @ismokewead420 you forgot to add, REVS FASTER AND TO HIGHER RPM, LESS THINGS TO GO WRONG AND 10X THE FUN!

  • Comment removed

  • mumma, can i have a new engine for christ fuckin mass. lol yes please!

  • Wow, what was that thing reving to?

  • Comment removed

  • "WARNING! WARNING! DANGER TO MANIFOLD!"

    shut up!

  • @williamchop *slams laptop*

  • OMG!!!

  • its catching fire...wow!! now thats what a huge turbo, and turning a rotary 10k plus rpm, looks and sounds like...heh heh

  • 2:20 sex to the ears

  • wait till its 5-6 years old then see how good that thing runs lol...good concept but still needs research..

  • an engine that small, putting out power like that.. amazing. thats some insane exhaust heat! wow!

  • Wait...let my get the hot dogs.

  • is that engine really small is that turbo really big

  • Can someone explain to me what a 4 "rotor" engine is?

  • @smosherx A Mazda Rotary engine used in most Madza's today but rotor engines are mainly known and tuned for RX-7's. There's usually 1 rotor in the engine and some really smart person decided to make a beast engine with 4 rotors. Look up Mazda 787b. The car is so nice sounding. Though it was banned from the le mans for reliability. If 1 rotor broke, the others would run still whereas piston wise, if one piston broke the engine wouldn't work at all.

  • @AznBoiiBTW thanks but this may sound pretty dumb but what is a rotor...?

  • @smosherx Nah it's not dumb, your new to it so ask. A rotor is basically the replacement of a piston in an engine, instead of lets say, 4 cylinder, 6, etc, Mazda uses 2 rotors in its (or the RX-7 and Rx-8) engines, is triangle shaped like. 3 rotor or 4 rotor engines are custom built. 13b = 2 rotor or regular number of rotors, 20b = 3 rotor and 26b = 4.

  • @AznBoiiBTW Wow thank you, but what does switching the piston for a rotor do? Why do they do that?

  • @AznBoiiBTW

3 rotor engines came from the factory in eunos/cosmos mazdas. Mazda racing made a 26b engine in their 787b le mans car in 91. You can get custom eccentric shafts made to fit a four rotor designed engines. It's basically taking 2 13b's and using another rotor space in it instead of an end. The 20b can be purchased from many import companies that bring in JDM engines.

  • HOLY SHIT. 1:55

  • How the fuck did they manage to put hell in that engine?

  • 1664bhp is a nice figure but not much use when your exhaust gets so hot it catches fire.

  • The poor apex seals :(

  • Ohshi!!!! that thing it going to take off!!! lol

  • now put it in an rx7

  • @alfazomb miata is lighter and better balanced

  • @TheLyricalgenius85 Why are you comparing apples with orangutans? The banks is a diesel piston engine, this is a spark ignition rotary, BIG difference. But yes, the banks sidewinder Duramax drag racing truck already makes that much power, the sidewinder road racing truck is only tuned to 800hp.

  • I have a hard time believing that any rotary engine makes 1200 ft-lbs of torque, maybe this is a gear reduction dyno, for each rotor to withstand the force of 300ft-lbs is ridiculous. If you make 1600hp at say, 10,500 rpm, the torque would have to be 800 or less, just a mathematical fact. To have that much torque the power peak would have to be at 7000 or so.

  • WOW, the compressor surge at 2 minutes sounds FUCKING AMAZING hahahaha

  • look at the size of that turbo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TheChadls GT55 i think. This motor is in the QSR Beemer if I'm not mistaken.

  • Plane engine? XD

    OMFG

  • DANGER TO THE MANIFOLD!

  • oo shit the manifold is catching on fire

    .

  • its all about the exhaust manifold turning red hot and starting a fire

  • thumbs up for Fucking with Julia Gillards Carbon Tax :)

  • Sorry, I will take my old clump of Falcon V8 power anytime baby.....

  • Hondas can eat shit.

    Rotary ftw.

  • thumbs up for aussies!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol aussie!!!!

    1:00

  • Has it blown up yet?

  • Now just put that in a miata...

  • @mbw12194 nah lets put it in the AZ-1 ;D

  • @mbw12194 haha you could split that engine into half and put it in 2 different miatas!

  • @mbw12194 And you got a Badass life-size RC car.

  • Dear Santa....

  • @Rivin2e ?? dear santa, more like Dear Satan hear is my soul, now give me that engine!

  • your saying that this motor went into a e46!!!! i want video's of that please!

  • Isn't a Rotary engine not fuel efficient. So; four rotors would use even more gas.

  • @JDrosa1982 nope they use less gas actaully cuz instead filling in a cylinder for compression they are putting a small amount of fuel in a smaller place for bigger expansion.

  • this is what you get when you have an idea after eating rice your whole life

  • put that in your veyron aon smoke it!

  • @alexgonick fucking gladly light em up lol. I wanna see this put inna veyron thatd be absolutely insane, ALSO this thing sounds like a fucking jet about to xplode.

  • @ChrisOhhSHI haha the veyron would actually have sound. lol its so quiet in my opinion. but yes this would be beast.

  • @alexgonick I just watched it again, and noticed when the exhaust manifold seals caught fire. lol. that would be bad if that happened in a race/street situation.

  • @ChrisOhhSHI haha no bueno. damn thats hot haha.

  • that dyno is like what the fuck!!!!!!

  • Had to turn my speakers down, HotDamn!

  • Put this engine in a RX7 and lets see what happens :)

  • WHOA!

  • i almost cried when that 2step cracked... fucking sick

  • According to the new torque rating it has a HP of only 70+ if you matched it up with a industrial engine the 60 HP Ajax has 1010 lb/ft Guess this engine is like a motor in a blender or saw.

  • @chuckbear1961 I don't think explaining to you why your wrong is worth my time... Just think RPM range, and know that HP is a function of Torque and RPM...

  • Looks like that thing wouldnt hold up for more than 3 munutes at that HP & torque. The Ajax DP165 is ONE CYLNDER! 165 HP 360 rpm ,and has 3,400 ft lbs of torque and has a 100% duty cycle(can run at full power 24-7) ,only bad thing it weighs 14,500 lbs somewhere you have to sacrifice something.

  • @chuckbear1961 I think this was for a drag car... so i'd only have to hold up for a few seconds at a time, much less time then it was on the dyno.

  • yeah so i dont think flames and engines go togeather.

  • nice engine

  • does it get so red/hot when racing with such an engine ? :O

  • @stepxunit

no it gets blue hot :D

  • and its just a 2.6 liter...

  • Unreal, sick engine !!!

  • Will this fit on my bicycle?

  • this is a fucking jet engine

  • this thing is giving children nightmares......

  • drag engine

  • where did you guys source the engine? it looks and sounds like a beast

  • Wow.. totally functionless

  • The Prius drivers got his mom with him as well

  • @Kresnov His dad joined in too!

  • Man that SOB surges, love it!

  • MrGeoffrey834,

First of all it is an engine. ;-p and not a vehicle. Therefore the mpg of this is ZERO.

Second, a rotary engine goes through all four stages of the 'four cycle' combustion cycle - Intake, compression, combustion, exhaust - and is NOT a two cycle engine.

Third, have some freaking FUN! obviously these people are not concerned with the price of gas (or concerned with money in general, 'cause this machine must be EXPENSIVE)! That is a totally different youtube video! ;-p

  • id like to know what kind of gas mileage this 4 rotor 2 cycle engine gets

  • THE TURBO'S PULLING ME TOWARDS THE COMPUTER SCEEN!!!!!!

  • lol i love vids like this when you see pipes glowing red :D

  • I see this in a custom built mid engine car.

  • Still can't beat the Mazda 787B's sound.

  • Holy horsepower batman!!!

  • I wouldnt want 2 be anywhere near the front of that turbo, thing soundz like a fighter jet!!

  • That turbo can suck in a cat

  • @blzbug242 an elephant i'd say

  • what does this thing rev to??

  • whats more powerful? the hulk or this fucking monster?

  • nice

  • is... is that meant to happen?haha

  • rotary f1 could be wild...6 rotor N/A

  • may I ask why this video was uploaded by bmw wiki?

  • @ayanami808 because this guy are a wanna be bmw wiki, I dont even belive that a BMW are able to use a engine in that size without changing chassi and everything.

  • @ayanami808 bc BMW only wishes they could get a 1600 hp 4 rotor

  • Anyone smell something burning??? HA!

  • the one person who disliked this drives a prius...

  • @chrysanderson69 what? Prius do have some power, little but some. The guy who disliked this has to be driving a 1,5HP electrical something with wheels!

  • @mlkaromas1 he also has a vagina

  • @chrysanderson69 lol true or probably a mini van

  • @chrysanderson69 There is now 5 prius owners...

  • @chrysanderson69 or they don't what the hell they was looking at.

  • First thought: yeah it sounds like a dirt bike. second thought: MAN THAT TURBO IS HUGE. third thougth: that motor is going to light on fire. fourth and final thought: were do i get me one of those

  • held on to my seat thought i went into space heehheeehehehe

  • The turbocompressor installed, of how many psi is it ?

  • and what kind of motor oil they use to lubricate engine. there are not pistons but it need oil for other parts !!!

  • fcking pipes looked liek neons!

  • how much rpm can it run?

  • HOLY SHIT... thats one powerful sombitch

  • somebody needs to invent new matrial to make intake/exhaust manifolds for this sweetie pie

  • @yazied00100 They have something . . . ceramic exhaust ports will do it.

  • @ vestymann04. It may only be one turbo, but look at how big it is. 16 liter 600 hp cat motors dont have a turbo that big, and just listen to how hard it is reving before that thing spools up.

  • sorry but thats the 20b engine

  • @pdxMax look closer its 4

  • @beastman444 u shure i mean the engine its a bit short for a 25b but anyway great engine

  • @pdxMax have to say 90% sure... my friend has a nice rx7 with a 20b it does look a bit smalled than this engine but to b pushin so much hp its prob built to the teeth. it seems a bit small for a 25b and it would need to be a bit bigger to be a 25b and pushin that much hp but u might be right. im far from an rx7 know it all but it does seem like a 20b.

  • y do the pipes catch on fire?????

  • @xozackxo45 extreme compression of exhaust being forced into the turbo.

  • At what pressure is it running?

  • Only one turbo for that much power? Or was it much more than just the turbo?

  • felt like my computer was going to catch fire just watching this

  • @1:48 - 2:00 love the turbo spool sounds like a jet engine.. but that's a monumental gasket failure, engine-fires ftl. Still that's an insane amount of power, wonder what RPM the turbo kicked in at?

  • holy shit wow put that and a w16 engine in a car ( to the moon and back)

  • Probably been asked by now, but what's burning after the exhaust header starts to glow? Is it high temp paint? It goes out right away when the engine spools down so that's what really made me wonder.

  • @gblpst81 im guessing unburned fuel cause its still a rotary after all...

  • @gblpst81 Exhaust gasket failure.

  • @Warblade118 Clear as day exhaust gasket failure

  • @4rsnduction That's what I thought but people keep asking.

  • they should put that into a 94' civic hatch

  • @Gidenkidenk And then throw it in a crusher because you ruined the engine by putting it in the biggest piece of shit ricer ever.

  • @twizz420 its probably better than your rice burner, civic forever, unless you are gay american who like gay american car

  • At 1:58 I thought that thing was about to catch fire!

  • rpm? Sounds like a jet engine!

  • I'm almost afraid to think what would happen if you dropped this in a Caterham 7.

  • @rushfan992

well nothing... it would just continually spin the rear wheels... quiet boring actually

  • @rushfan992 I find fuel economy so sexy! Not that you are a chick or anything....

  • @themooddisorders rotary is less fuel economy than piston

  • @Gidenkidenk but electric is better! Our poor power grid!

  • Where in the hell would you get a 4 rotor block?

  • @VicVegas84 these rotors can be bolted together... you could in theory do as many as you want... in theory.

  • @VicVegas84 the cheap way to do it is to weld two 12A blocks together and get a custom shaft thats linked between the two

  • @mynock05 Biggest problem that i have read on the several 4 rotor builds out there is the ECU. Plus although yes you just combine the two blocks, you need to make a custom eccentric shaft, what mazda calls the central drive shaft, but if you have 20-30k laying around, the build can be done.

  • @kibastryker read my post dumbshit i said u need a custom shaft...and why would u need an ecu for a carborated engine? dumbfuck...

  • Comment removed

  • @kibastryker theyve been making rx7s since the 70s.....u fail

  • @mynock05 MY comment was about fuel injected rotaries, but since i realized that you wanted to used old busted tech for a 4-rotor be my guest. Sure its the cheaper way, but without turbos it would still be useless for producing good amounts of power. the 4-rotor that is shown here, and that is used in Team BMI's drift car are both fuel injected.

  • @kibastryker u still eat cock

  • wow. Glowing headers. Impresive!

  • I have never seen a steel down pipe reach the flash point and actually catch on fire. That is ridiculous and awesome =P.

  • @mozleyman steel doesn't burn lol. The exhaust gasket was fried to dust, so flaming exhaust was leaking.

  • umm dude, your METAL is catching on fire, lol

  • sleeper

  • holy shit, that fucking turbo is sick... the second that thing starts boostin all shit goes red and all engine noise goes gone. very nice.

  • 7 gallons to the mile

  • @bob1sded more like 2 lol

  • @RWpaintball i said 7 gallons to the mile. not seven miles to the gallon...

  • @bob1sded ooo shit my bad i wasnt really paying attention

  • in what kind of car this will feed ?? sorry for my english

  • a red hot manifold is no problem, but when it starts combusting and flames shoot off, you should back off the throttle imo

  • well thats one hell of a turbo lag?

  • rotary engines have so much potential

  • why?

  • where is this engine from? and what vehicle do you plan to put it into?
