  • If a 7 billion dollar rail system takes 35,000 cars off the road, then the cost per car removed is 200,000.00. Not a good return on investment.

  • No matter, estimates are always given for a project or plan and he was wishy washy about hard core numbers and that's because it didn't include the paybacks to Unions leaders and how much monies can be extricated from the public without their knowledge.

  • Donovan Dela Cruz is full of hot air and lip service. You can't trust this sleazy politician.

He wants to develop TOD - Transit Oriented Development around each rail station. He tries to hoodwink the environmental groups by saying rail will contain urban sprawl. Tell us why the rail is beginning in Hoopili in West Oahu. This is a farm area.

  • This bi-polar politician should get an Oscar Award for acting. His record contradicts his public hot air. No Act. We don't need a mayor like you.

  • Good job Donovan. The directors favorite word is calculations and tries to find ways to beat around the bush and NOT giving a direct answer.

  • Thanks for posting this. No wonder the State is bankrupt. That man isn't capable of managing a garage sale, let alone an entire State DoT.

  • @TheMindlessConsumer: Wayne Yoshioka was the CITY transportation director, NOT the State. Try to keep up.

  • Mufi and is Elves are so corrupt it's laughable.

  • ...and the good ole boys band plays on!!

  • Yoshioka doesn't know the projected subsidies and admits to property taxes covering costs.
